China Sails — Restaurant in Fall River

We just ordered from there for the first time. I'm genuinely disappointed. First off, my husband is NOT a huge fan of Chinese food, but, what he does like of it, he likes a lot. Unfortunately he wasn't very pleased with his order. The portions were very small and pretty bland. He ordered the pu pu sampler with 2 beef teriyaki that were excellent. The shrimp(2) was very bland, scallops(6) were reminiscent of something you would get from the freezer section in the grocery store. He also got 4 crab Rangoon that he said were "alright", he said there was nothing special about them. This meal did not come with rice.

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken + appetizer meal. I opted for the beef teriyaki (2) and boneless ribs. I opted for steamed rice with this meal. The sweet and sour sauce was nice thick consistency and very tasty. The chicken was slightly on the greasy side and very doughy in the middle. I would have liked it a little more golden and crispy. My beef teriyaki was superb. Very tasty, tender and lean. I also enjoyed the boneless pork. It could have been a little more flavorful, but was good none the less.

My daughter had the 3 appetizer sampler, opting for boneless pork, chicken fingers and chicken wings. The meal also came with pork fried rice. She thoroughly enjoyed everything, but the rice. To be fair, this is the first time she's ever had pork fried rice. She has nothing to compare it to, and may not even like it to begin with.

My son, who is not adventurous at all, got the kids happy box. That thing was stuffed with fries!! He wasn't brave enough to try the crab Rangoon, but my daughter was and she seemed to love them. He wasn't too sure about the wings or chicken fingers, but once he tried them seemed to like them.

The scallion pancakes were also pretty good, however, I would have liked them a little on the crisper side.

All in all, the food was ok. We've had better, but we've also had worse. I'm not entirely sure we'll order from them again. They don't deliver to our area, and it's a little out of...

Just did an order for 60$ for a birthday party, everything was good except once the food was delivered everyone in house immediately started grabbing at the food. After pulling out everything and reading the receipt I realized the restaurant mixed up my large order of chicken wings for chicken fingers. My Girlfriend called the restaurant and explained the mix up on their end and the restaurant asked for their chicken fingers back in exchange for chicken wings. She told them of her knowledge of restaurant practices and codes before asking why they would even want the food back that was already touched by other people and if they planned to resell it which caused us to wonder if our own food had been resold to us. The owner was rude in the entire exchange laughing as we asked about their practices and handling of food as well as if their certifications are up to date. In the end we received our wings but I will never trust this restaurant again. The owner obviously does not care about his customers and it showed in his mannerisms and lack of respect and laughing at our serious inquires of a simple phone conversation over something that was THEIR mistake to begin with. hello my name is greg i am a very important food critic i have ordered china sails 4 times first time was told would be 45 minute wait waited two hours called to check on order was told another 45 minutes ok no problem is end of the world will be nice another hour goes by i get call from owner saying oops sorry forgot about your order ran out of food will give you discount next order ok normally make me mad but try to ve patient order three more times over few weeks because lots of people say is best chinese food fall river is good is good give another chance i gave three more chances my order was never made correct way i order ok i tell owner about this he not care spend more time talking down to customers on the Facebook calling them names ok not good seems like spend more time on the facebook than follow customer instruction but even with all the mistakes i try to encourage them hey all doing good job but owner insult me tell me order somewhere else even though gave good review each time with mistakes ok owner dominic not good man parents did not raise right ok he is not real man talk talk talk on the facebook insult customers pretend better than everyone one day will make wrong person mad get hurt ok so i would not recomend this place golden river...
