Origen Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Fall River

We just had the most delicious meal at this new restaurant Origen. Had to leave them a five star review and get the word out there because this place should be packed. Loved the spicy margarita and espresso martini was delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness. The wings passed our wing test (big wing eaters here) and the mussels were a delicious spin on ceviche. To warn you, the mussels are little hard to eat because they are big but it’s worth the messiness for the flavor. For our main course we had the Cuban and the Paella. The Cubans flavors blended perfectly and the paella was soo good I almost ordered another to bring home. If you live in the Fall River area and haven’t checked this place out you definitely need to. Going out to eat with my fiance is always a challenge, he was in the restaurant business for over 25 years, besides being a great cook.His job was to make sure the restaurant grew and  made money, onces was established he would move to do another one. So he looked at everything, not only the food. Then he saw this dish called CEVICHE,Peruvian version, on the menu ,eyes got big, he looked at me and told me the history behind this dish( he is a kind food history snob, I think is pretty cool ) so he decided to try it. He was very impressed. We came here for lunch on Saturday. We both had the rose sangria and it was lovely! The birria sandwich was awesome, and The Fancy burger was very good but I’d definitely go for the birria again next time. The accompanying fries were crispy and hot. The food took a little while to come, but totally worth the wait.

It was pretty quiet but a few more parties came in while we were there. I overheard one group say they they needed to be served quickly as they were going to the movies, and I noticed they did get their meals promptly. The owners were friendly and helpful - they’ve only been open a month or so - and we would certainly go again.
