0 STARS! WORST dining/food/drink experiences of OUR lives! I had my family from Maine come down to show them the great Fall River food reputation and let me tell you’s picking DOURO TOWNEHOUSE/STEAKHOUSE was THE WORST and MOST EXPENSIVE MISTAKE I’ve ever made! NICKS HOTDOGS on south Main Street would have been a WAY BETTER CHOICE….and they have no seating for 10 lol (if you know, you know). Let’s start with the fact that they didn’t have my reservation saved, then the guy tells us (party of 10 people) that they can be ready in 15 minutes, 45 minutes later I ask what’s going on, and the manager assured me 6 minutes, he assured this is a real time, (he’s not lying this time?) wrong 20 minutes later we’re seated, another 15 before they offered water, and bread in this way…. Would you like bubbling water, bottled water, or Fall River water, with Fall River being highlighted, would you like bread with that? Yes we do, they came out with 2, that’s right TWO bread baskets for a party of 10! They give couples a basket now I’m not asking for 5 but 2? Then they bring back the water, THEN ask for what we’d like for drinks, made our drink orders…. 15 minutes later drinks come out, then they take the food orders, no word of a lie, we didn’t see them again for if we needed drinks bread anything for another 30 minutes, finally was starving of hunger and dying of thirst by now (exaggerating) I had to go ask if we could get another round of bread and drinks while we wait for our food that we ordered 30 minutes ago, 10 minutes we wait for some bread baskets and drinks, so 40 minutes after we gave our food order we received bread and drinks….another 30 minutes goes by, absolutely 0 SERVICE! NO asking if we needed anything, no apologies for the absolutely outrageous wait time NOTHING! FINALLY, we get the food, and let me tell you this was the most DISRESPECTFUL DISGUSTING GARBAGE IVE EVER ATE! I’d rather eat STREET FOOD from INDIA, I mean the fact that these guys CHARGE FOR BREAD tells you everything you need to know! The bill for 10 people with NO alcoholic beverages and the WORST SERVICE IN THE WORLD came out to over 650$ with a AUTOMATIC GRATUITY of 20% then they ask for MORE! With TIP SUGGESTIONS! SAVE YOURSELF from the WORST POSSIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE IN FALL RIVER! DOURO...

I genuinely do not think i have received worst service than this. This was supposed to be a birthday dinner and the party was a total of 6 people including me ( it was for my birthday!). We made reservations on the open table app for 6:30. We get there earlier than 630 but we were not even seated until around 7:10. The restaurant was not really busy at all so this came as a shock to most of us but we sat down and all waited patiently for our waiter to accommodate us. Our waiter finally came and asked us what we wanted to drink almost 35 minutes after we had been seated. At that point we had already known what we wanted to order for our main courses so we put in those orders. No joke, almost an hour and a half passes by and we had no food at our table what so ever. In that span of time our waiter only brought us one pitcher of water and some bread which also took him another 30 minutes to bring out. Me and all my friends waited patiently, watching other people around us get their food ( even people who were seated after us). I even watched another table get a cake with a candle on it for someone’s birthday (didn’t get anything and it was specified by me and my friends that it was my birthday.) After all that time we finally received our food (we got there at 6:10, didn’t get served food until 9:00). Food was definitely not worth the wait at all and this whole experience was a complete waste of time. I thought this was a good place to have a birthday dinner at but all of the friends I brought with me ripped me a new one due to how horrendous the service was. Won’t ever be going back here again. Dined here for the first time last night for my husband's birthday. We were a party of 7 and had reservations for 7:15. (Let me first say, our waiter was very pleasant and had a great sense of humor.) We were seated promptly however we waited approximately 10 minutes at our table before being addressed, then waited another 10 minutes to order drinks and then another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. It wasn't incredibly busy but there was another large party and only 2 waitstaff on so perhaps this was the reason for the wait times. We finally ordered our appetizers (4) but our waiter returned a short time later to inform us that they did not have 2 of the apps that we had ordered. A little while later we ordered our meals which took approx 30 minutes to arrive. 2 people in our party ordered the ribeye which was a little tough and lacked appeal, another ordered filet mignon which he said was very good and cooked to his liking. We also had the Portuguese steak which was just mediocre and could be had at any other area Portuguese restaurant for a fraction of the cost. We also ordered T-bone steak cooked medium which was absolutely raw...not rare...raw. We asked if it could be cooked a bit more and of course of waiter was very nice and apologetic. He took it back to the kitchen and brought it back a short time later re-plated but still raw. Needless to say, she did not eat it. I never leave less than excellent reviews but after having spent almost $500 on dinner and being in the restaurant for almost 3 hours (mostly waiting) I felt like I should let others know of our experience so that they are aware of what to expect when...
