Ok, so the service was excellent and attentive on the restaurant side - we were only there to have a drink on their opening wknd with no seats left in the pub side. The restaurant side was less than appealing though as it felt confusing.... swanky place? Is this Lucky 13? Or are we at a sports bar? ... it was odd and we felt it was a REAL buzz kill... mind you, it was only 730p on a Sat night though and not the pub side. They had several types of seating though which was cool and the menu was legit crazy awesome! Looooved the whiskey flight! Will deffo go again to try their food as well as get a vibe for their pub side. Overall though, I think it's a great addition to downtown and have always loved the one in West Fargo :)

I've been to this chains restaurant before and had a far better experience. When we were there we felt very neglected by staff, we were 1 of 3 people siting down and we didn't even get menus until 10 minuets after we got there. And didn't get any drinks until nearly 20 minuets. And there was staff just huddled around the bar not paying any attention. We went there for a late lunch and was there for an hour and a half. I dont like to blame staff for inconveniences but this time it was completely them. But the food was very good. I recommend the spring rolls, and the octoberfest specials!

This is by far one of our favorite places to eat. It has a great atmosphere that is very inviting. They have specials and a club you can join. Also, they have many events such as karaoke. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. The food menu is awesome, so hard to choose what to get due to the many options available. The food is fresh and flavorful. The drink menu is great too. I also like the back bar area, the windows open up to the street. Will continue to go back!

We were able to privately reserve the First Avenue bar at the Blarneystone Dowtown/HoDo for our wedding reception at the end of December 2024 - our experience as EXCEPTIONAL! The courtesy we experienced from every single person on staff far exceeded our expectations. Planning was easy, the on-staff managers were always willing to answer questions and make recommendations, and were incredibly accommodating to our requests. The day of the event the service team knocked it out of the park! They were friendly, courteous and accommodating...there was never a time that we had to seek out staff, they were always available with a smile. In addition, the food was outstanding, and at the end of the night the team was sure to box up extra items without us asking. The next morning, we had breakfast with a group at the Blarneystone and several servers stopped to congratulate us, make sure we had the items they had boxed up from the night before and just made our day! Our sever that day was, Josiah and he was extraordinary! We were a group of 8 that started out having breakfast and then stayed for bingo...he was fantastic!! We will certainly be back and it will be our top recommendation when anyone is looking for an intimate event venue! Well done Blarneystone/First Avenue...

Dinner at downtown Fargo's Blarney Stone last night was a good experience. Had the rueben sandwich and a side garden salad with house-made bleu cheese dressing. The salad was delicious -- I haven't had better bleu cheese dressing anywhere in the F/M area. The rueben sandwich was good, generously piled high with corned beef.

Our group found the atmosphere a bit lacking. I don't remember the old HoDo having TVs in the bar. Or if there were, they were certainly in the background. The Blarney Stone bar has TVs all over and we found the volume distractingly loud for table conversation. (I know, I'm an old fuddy duddy, but that said if 3.5 stars were possible to award, that would be my rating for this visit.)

The service was excellent. Leading the way was our main server, Aleysia. This young lady knows her craft... attentive (but not overly so), excellent ordering suggestions, and knowledgeable about the extensive menu items and beverage options. Great personality to boot.

Supporting helpers made sure our food was delivered fast and hot. All were polite and courteous. Whomever is training and managing this staff knows what they're doing. We'll definitely be making...

If you have a food allergy I would avoid this location at all cost. I have a severe shellfish allergy and after informing our waitress of this I was reassured that there would be no cross contamination. When our food came out they brought a plate of shrimp to the table and the gal seemed very confused when we tried telling her to take it away. It took them 2 more times to get our order correct at which point the manger came out and was so extremely rude just blank staring at us then walking to their back room, gathering her staff and clearly talking about our table with heads turning back to look at us. I will say that besides the manger with glasses staff was pretty good and our waitress was great. The other manger Compt the food after we had to ask them to for the poor service. It would have been a great time if that manger wasn’t so rude and they didn’t try to kill me. Again can’t stress this enough they don’t care about allergies the manger will look at you like it’s your issue and that is...
