I can confidently say, if you don't know what to try, just blindly pick anything, try something new, and you will still love it! ●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■● ♡ 🔥=7/10 I highly recommend the lamb saag if you are looking for a medium-highish spice and "green" dish. ♡🔥=10/10 Or the lamb rogan josh for a flavorful but super spicy lamb dish if you dare try it! (The vindaloo 🔥=9/10) is also spicy but less pronounced flavor). ♡ 🔥=5/10 Their tandoori chicken is very spicy style as well - keep that in mind if you prefer less spice, you can always ask to lessen the level! ♡ 🔥=1/10 If you prefer mild and traditional dishes, the matter paneer with any protein choice is tomato-y and hearty. The butter chicken is thick and super savory as well. ♡For appetizers, I like the spinach pakora because it is crisp and more filling than the samosas, but the samosas 🔥=2/10 are also tasty - they only come in 3 pieces though. ♡For roti, naan, and paratha bread, I personally like the butter tandoori roti, but that is completely up to everybody's taste - they are all worth trying at least once. ♡For dessert, any will satisfy you. Unlike other places, their ras malai is milky and perfect (some other places taste dish watery, or oddly textured). The gulab jamun only comes in two pieces but will stop your sweet tooth cravings for sure. The kulfis portions are small, but come in twos and are well worth the price. The pista kulfi is my favorite for a cold dessert. ♡The gazar halwa dessert gets its section as a sweet carrot dish that is so incredibly worth trying and the portion is a fully-filled quart-sized container of goodness. It is usually so crammed, the cashews on top make the lid jut out! Phenomenal, and a little scared to give it a shout-out if everyone starts buying it -save some for me! ●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■● Going into the restaurant, the atmosphere was lovely, you can choose your seat, and the staff is very friendly and attentive! Great place for great food, to go, or dine...
Read moreAahar has been one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Michigan for a buffet, and we’ve been driving all the way to Farmington Hills for years just to enjoy their amazing spread. They offer a wide variety in every category—whether it’s starters, main courses, gravies, or desserts. What sets them apart is the consistent quality and the fact that there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy.
Their multiple options for both chicken and mutton are a big highlight, making it a delight for non-vegetarian food lovers. When we crave an elaborate buffet experience, Aahar is always our first choice. For vegetarians, they have plenty of delicious options, including regular favorites like lady’s finger fry, bitter gourd, or yam fry. For kids, they provide fruits, colorful papads that are a hit, naan, and noodles, ensuring the little ones are happy too.
This week’s spread featured Amaravati Biryani and Goat Pulao, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. Other standout items included chicken pakora, Chettinad chicken, butter chicken, vada, samosa chaat, and a variety of other dishes. Their desserts were equally delightful, with strawberry mousse and mango custard stealing the show. The yogurt rice paired with avakkai pickle was a perfect and comforting finish to the meal.
The restaurant has plenty of seating, making it comfortable even during busy hours. However, I highly recommend arriving early to fully enjoy the delicious spread, as the last serving ends at 2:45 PM, and they do not refill dishes after that.
The location is quite popular, as it’s close to Indian stores, Paparoti, and the Chai place. This makes the area bustling, especially during weekends, and while the restaurant has a large parking lot, finding a spot can be a challenge during peak times.
Overall, Aahar continues to impress with its variety, quality, and consistency. It’s undoubtedly a must-visit destination for anyone who enjoys a hearty...

I posted on Yelp but somehow they brought it down but now I am going to post on google and see. This place closes at 10 pm me and my girlfriend entered around 9:30 pm, at this time there were 6 to 7 families on different tables. Waiter who was too busy to cleanup tables than to take the order showed up around 9:42 pm and me and my girlfriend knew what we wanted so we immediately ordered the food. Food came on our table around 9:55 pm at this time there were still 2 families seated and having their food in the restaurant. We hurriedly tried to gulp our food thinking we should not be the last one to keep holding to close the restaurant and I could see couple of to go ordered piled up on reception desk to be picked up. I ordered to go boxes because I was almost done and my girl friend was having her last few bites, at this time 10:15 pm all families already left and were too were wrapping up, Suddenly one of the waiter came and stood near my table and without my permission he almost tried to pull away my plate and I did not stopped him because I was already done but this jerk pulled the plate away from my gf too while she was still eating her food. By this time we realize that we should leave before this waiters try more stunts so I reached to glass of water the waiter literally touched the glass with his dirty cleaning hands and took that away too. We simply left the restaurant to never visit again and decided to write this review that this place has somewhat average food but people go to restaurant not only for food but for experience of dinning and good service. Agreed that it was closing time they should have not allowed us to enter at 9:30 now since someone enters let them at least finish their food rather the servers were in too much hurry and do not care about...
