Me and my husband went to La Marsa to dine -in on Thursday night. We ordered shish combo platter for two. On being served, the food was stale and cold. I told the our server, and she said she'll replace it with warm food but again she brought the same platter with mildly warm meat kabobs leaving the rest of the platter cold and untouched (including rice, shish chicken, kafta, veggies etc). We have been to mediterranean restaurants before but this experience was highly disappointing for us. I dont think I would be returning to this place for food again! La Marsa ruined our celebration night.

By just reading your response, I can judge how you treat your customers, let alone experiencing it. If only you had read my review, the initial one, which clearly states My WHOLE PLATTER was cold and stale. To explain to you what a platter means, a platter INCLUDES the meat and sides! I had specifically mentioned on my review āVEGGIES, etcā which in simple terms means vegetables as well as french fries which were part of the platter/meal. I am surprised that you do not have the basic understanding of what a platter means. Anyways, your manager Eman, on speaking to her over the phone, I had to tell her the situation again since she was not aware of the any reviews. I had SPECIFICALLY mentioned to her about my ENTIRE meal to which she was apologetic and invited us to make it up for it. On arriving to La Marsa, we were only there for the specific meal which we had been invited for! Let that be 2 person or 3, it had nothing to do with taking or eating any extra FREE meal from you! I can bring any number of persons with me. Your job was to provide us with what you invited us for. LA MARSA now would tell you how many people you should bring for dine-in!! Eman came to us and asked us what we had ordered last time (which I told her again the millionth time). I did not even mention sides to her until she INSISTED THAT THERE WERE 3 SIDES!! We told her what we had ordered the last time and she brought us the exact platter. Everything was fine until she presented us with another bill that included charges for drinks, Veggies and fries (WHICH WERE SIDES ON THE PLATTER)!!! On asking her what the charges were of, she very disrespectfully said āoh you think I will give you free meal?ā
La Marsa! Teach your staff some basic manners and etiquettes of how to talk to customers. You do not throw another bill at someone who you invited and provided with the exact same meal. The ārice puddingā dessert was not even asked for. Thank you Eman but we never wanted your rice pudding with the insults. You called us to mend things which you failed at. Your comment about how the manager was specific about providing us with ONLY the same platter, the platter you are talking about included the sides which you charged us for. Eman should mention that sides, garlic bread, fries and drinks will be charges and JUST the rice and meat will be free. Does that make sense to you?? Thatās how we were treated!!
And for your comment about how I demote restaurants for free items, let me teach you something. A person writes a review on their bad experiences so that other customers are careful too in Wasting their money at restaurants like yours, not to get free items! Your Manager Eman had invited us over. After our first experience where we PAID in FULL instead of arguing or disrespecting any of your staff, we were pretty sure of not visiting La Marsa again. We only gave it a a chance because of your response and Eman who INVITED us. If we had known what kind if service we would experience again, we would have never came!
Let me tell you something more. We are doctors/ frontline workers. There few dollars or your FREE items do not matter to us. Your principals, commitments and RESPECT is what matters to us!
So for next time, when you invite someone over to mend things for your pathetic service, have some respect towards your customers and teach your staff the same. This is it for me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was a customer ever since they opened ate there at least 3/4 times a week I became very good friends with fadell and Mohamed the owners. I called in to order one day the young lady pick up the phone and she was rude and hung up on me, so I to go to the restaurant to pick up my order as I was checking my order to make sure that my lamp chops were well done she literally gets up in my face cursing and yelling at me customers in the restaurant as I was going out of the door she comes yelling and screaming saying donāt come back I could not believe what I was seeing and hearing plus my lamp chops were not done red. So I took a picture of my order and called Mohamed the owner so he apologize for her behavior and gave me a gift card. So I stop going there for a while, so I went back from time to time still trying to patronize she was still there l did not feel good about my food while she was there the feeling I would get when l made my order or even going there to eat wasnāt good. So call fadell he told that he couldnāt let her go because help was hard to find. So I started going there 1 a month one of my relatives went there to eat and she was telling them things about me that was not cool at all, so I call fadell to tell about the situation instead of him talking to her me ask to speak to my wife I was like for what my wife has nothing to do with this he totally disrespected me over the years I have noticed that fadell like black women no matter who she may be with Iāve have noticed how he looks at some of my lady friends when l would take them there to eat so I never said anything to him. He met my wife 1time he made a statement that I like nice things while he was looking at my wife creepy So when ask why did you ask me to speak to my wife he told me not to come there anymore he is not a good person I think that he put the young lady up to act the way she did to me he is very prejudiced towards black men and have a problem looking and lusting there women. I told one of my friends about what happened he told me that fadell the owner looks at his wife creepy too he has a fake smile not a real person at all, all he cares about is the money and not the people or customer. I will not patronize La marsa in Farmington...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreApril 30th at 1:30 pm. I met a wonderful lady here for a first date. Her & I have been talking on the phone for 3 weeks for hours & hours almost every day.
So I wanted our first date to be special.
I arrived a little early & I told my waiter, a 27-year-old gentleman named Mo from Tunisia (he was professionally trained as a chef in Paris & who just got married š°š¤µto a beautiful American woman, one week ago!!), that this was a first date.
He made our meal extra special! The way he arranged the dishes on the table, brought appropriate extra dishes, & he was attentive by making sure we had everything we needed.
Of course I always order more food than I can eat so I can take some home and he brought out the containers and put it in the containers for me!
So I double tipped him and he was worth it! Everyone in the restaurant is extremely friendly and polite. Love everything on the menu! I especially love the salmon galaba.
I always get their salad because their salads are hyper amazing! The salad dressing they make is so flavorful! The hummus, the garlic paste and the pita bread served fresh out of the oven is incredibly addictive!
Obviously the ambience is something that contributes to the pleasure of your dining experience and the inside is clean and decorated with a traditional Middle Eastern artistic emphasis.
There's very nice Middle Eastern music playing. It was an awesome dinner and it helped to impress the lady that I met there (because there's no way she's impressed with me š¤Ŗ!)
You must go to this restaurant very soon! The incredible savory tastes you will experience here are ones you will dream about! After, please go post your review so we can tell the world and have this place so busy they have to open up 10 more...
