Even after living in the Suburbs of Southeast Michigan for years, I had never actually heard of Leeza's Café until a friend suggested that it might be a neat place to try. Tucked into a small strip mall in Farmington Hills, it's easy to see how the average passerby can very easily pass it by (see what I did there?). Though this may seem detrimental to the restaurant's future, I think the real interesting thing is that there seems to be a die-hard group of regular customers keeping the restaurant alive and dare I say, even thriving?
My friend and I stopped by on a Sunday morning around brunch time, and looking from the outside of the restaurant, I was thinking that perhaps we'd thought too much of the hype online and made a mistake. However, once I entered the establishment, I saw the real hustle and bustle of a jam-packed room of happy customers. Luckily my friend had arrived before I had and grabbed a small table, otherwise we may have been out of luck in finding seats for some time. The loyal regulars seem to have an established routine of making a stop at Leeza's on their way to live the rest of their busy days, and many have gotten to the stage of the waitresses knowing their full orders by heart. The waitstaff is friendly and always attentive, making the small restaurant seem as busy as a Labor and Delivery ward in the early 1950s (quite possibly when a large chunk of Leeza's standard clientele was born).
The menu has tons of interesting options, but definitely check out the specials menu as well, there are some heavy hitters on there!
Keto/ Low Carb folks: I usually stick to breakfast foods in restaurants like Leeza's and didn't stray from that strategy for this visit. There's plenty more in the menu to explore if you're interested, but even the selection of omelets could keep you occupied for many visits.
Overall, I'd say Leeza's is a nice, welcoming, and neat little restaurant in Farmington Hills, MI. If you're looking for a low-key place to get breakfast/ brunch, you can certainly...
Read moreTL:dr:: Tasty, decent value, noisy and humid, driest toast ever. Worth visiting! Skip the toast.
My partner and I dropped in for a quick breakfast. We only had a short time, but the staff made us feel very welcome the entire time. This is even more impressive as the place was packed!
The kitchen fan was easily as noisy as the crowd. But I don't think it was doing it's job very well, as the place was warm and humid. Not precisely pleasant, though not so bad that I broke our sweating. They could really use a better exhaust fan, though.
I had the Nova Lox Omelet, he had the Anduille Scramble, and we both had coffee and rye toast.
The coffee was quick and plentiful, only a little bitter. They only offered packaged creamer, but it was perfectly acceptable.
The meals were quite nice! Plenty of veggies in both, and the sides were perfect. Hashbrowns for one, tomato slices for the other, both served as requested. I really like they they offer carrot sticks or tomato slices instead of the potato!!
Sadly the toast was, well, sad. Tiny little slices that had been toasted to the point of toughness. Another few seconds under the broiler and they would have been croutons. I was only able to eat a single slice, and that only with way more marmalade than I usually prefer. We packed the rest up with the leftovers to take home and bake the rest of the way into croutons for salads. Waste not!
So yeah, overall, some of the kindest, nicest, and most attentive staff of any diner I've been to in the area! And on balance the food was fantastic! Definitely coming back, as it's quite convenient for us, and the menu is extensive enough that there's plenty to try still. Something that doesn't come with...

The staff really makes you feel like you are at home and are a guest. They are very polite and accommodating before and after your meal.
This time around I did decided to have the andouille sausage scramble platter with hash browns and wheat toast. I was given the option of regular hash browns or crispy, so of course I went to the wild side and selected crispy. I also had two and a half cups of coffee.
The scramble platter was exceptional. Not only did everything look fresh, everything tasted fresh and homemade. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delightful.
They give you enough where you are satisfied without being overwhelmed with too much food.
Oh, and the coffee was also very good. As you may have noted I had two and a half cups.
This is a cafe that you can go to every single day and feel like you are at home.
Even if you are not close to the Farmington Hills area, I highly recommend a road trip to this cafe. You will...
