Sunrise Cafe — Restaurant in Farmington Hills

i walked in 5 mintues to closing and by staff along with owner I was abruptly told that I could not be serviced. After sharing that I just came from the hospital after being discharged after being hospitaled from a Kidney infection. I explained that I moved with great efforts but health reason failed for me to move rapidly. After sharing my health conditions I recieved no consideration on the time restraints and I was repetitively refused services. The owner she was consistant with being rude in front of customers. I need to express my frustration with this scenerio because foreigners come to the states and recieve great opportunities in our country and then become business owners from our government most distrubing U.S citizens patroning them. Most importantly, they fail to value people of color and lack the knowledge the 12% percentage that is yielded from business is generated by the support of the minorities. Amazing service!!! We are from out of town and with the pandemic and a toddler along, dining can be a challenge. The staff was EXTREMELY hospitable and told me after I had ordered inside that they could bring the food out to our car. Not only was the food delicious, but they came BACK out to check on us and see if we needed anything else just as my daughter started saying she wanted eggs with her pancakes (which we had not ordered). This lovely woman made another trip back into the restaurant and returned with a little box of fresh scrambled eggs for our little one! As if that wasnt enough, she even came to collect the boxes after we were finished! I cannot say enough how nice it is to find this sort of "small town charm" when you are passing through a big city you are not familiar with. If I could leave this place zero stars, I would. Save your money and go to IHOP instead or make sure you eat before coming here, don’t roll up to this place with an empty stomach. We came here and got seated right away as it wasn’t that busy. But then we waited 55 minutes for mediocre food that had absolutely no flavor to it. As my husband and I sat there waiting for a breakfast burrito and an omelet, we saw multiple orders go out in to go boxes. Meanwhile the patrons inside the restaurant sat there with empty tables with nothing but their coffees and water. And then when checking out, we heard the guy tell the people on the phone that the wait time for their food would be 20 minutes. Shame on this restaurant! If you want to prioritize to go orders, shut your inside seating down. Will never return...
