Fairly nice ambiance. But I regret I have to share a negative experience. Here we go: The carpet is disgustingly dirty and so old. The carpet under booths weren't vacuumed for probably days. It was bad to look at. I felt embarrassed for my guest to see it. They didn't clean thoroughly even after I asked the waiter to please vacuum it. So, I picked up the used napkin and straw myself and threw it in the trash can. It shows the managers and even the owner who was there don't care about it and their guests. We ordered two appetizers and three entrees with rice They were all warm, whereas they should be hot. Considering there were only three tables occupied, I wonder why that chef and cook pay no attention to the food's temperature. That, too, shows lack of respect for guests and not feeling proud of their job and it's importance. We asked for the music to be changed to Iranian songs. But the manager, Max, sent us a message the he won't do it unless the place is packed! This attitude is extremely poor and disrespectful. Again, it shows the owner Hussein who was there himself and the manager don't care. They don't understand they must accommodate their guests. Asking for Iranian songs in an Iranian restaurant is perfectly reasonable. The bathroom needed to be cleaned. This was my first and last time. I had a very poor "experience." I won't be going there any more. I recommend against going there until a professional and caring management steps in. The current owners have obviously failed spectacularly in the past 15 years. They don't understand restaurants and hospitality industry are in the business of selling "experience" not "food" alone. They are terrible hosts. Don't go there if you're interested in a good or...
Read moreWe should’ve walked out when we first arrived. Greeter was a little rude and acted like it was a privilege for us to be there. The interior of this place does not do Persians justice. It was outdated and felt like a retirement home cafeteria. No clear path anywhere. I’m Persian, and this was hands down sub standard Persian cuisine! No salt in anything hardly and the flavors so mild you wouldn’t know it was anything special. The food seasoning was consistent with said retirement home cafeteria bland food. The bread! Might as well forget it if you’re not gonna even try. no one wants American rolls from a can that you bake when you pay money for a middle eastern experience. At least use pita bread for heavens sake. For the price, the food didn’t represent a true presentation and flavor of delicious Persian food, the service was just ok (no consistency or training apparent)but given that the owner is making a scene right behind us about taking down the Buffett cause he doesn’t want miss out on a party of 70 people, was ridiculous. Taking down and moving tables, shouting orders around like customers aren’t already trying to dine in was so unprofessional and irritating, I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Also, try using soft lighting instead of Bright day light bulbs to deliver some kind of atmosphere. If you want to have a real Persian dining experience to set the bar where it should be, try Rumi’s in Atlanta or any Persian restaurant in LA or Canada. Don’t spend...
Read moreThis restaurant has so much potential of becoming one of the greatest Persian Cuisine hot spots of not only the town but the Midwest, but lacks a bit of Managerial Investment in their services and design of their abundant space.
The food is okay and sometimes depends on who would be the working chef of the shift, but please do note this, many of the employees working here are hardworking, but you may not get the best authentic food. If you are looking to get that, you’ll likely have to go out of state or to Iran. The taste is decent, but not the best. They do provide Halal/Kosher and Vegetarian options.
This restaurant does have a bar, but unfortunately not many patrons utilize this option. The restaurant could offer specials and offer some bar food, but this is not currently an option there.
The design there seems like an old mom and pop shop with old carpet floors and ceiling tops that have stains. The art on some of their walls may show some culture, but everything needs to be renovated. The service also needs to be improved as the tables there do not show “elegance or luxury”. They use disposable paper rather than a table cloth. They do offer barcode scanned menus, but physical menus are also appreciated. They sometimes lack enough staff and also have a shortage of menu items.
Overall,...
