I want to post a picture but it wont allow me to. On Dec 31st 2023 at 9:25pm we visited this location and ordered one 2 PC dinner (leg, thigh, mashed potato and biscuit) and two 2 PC dinner (wing, breast, mashed potato and biscuit) for $28.53 cash. I was in town from Denver area visiting my grandma who lives near this Popeyes. We got home at 10pm and noticed 3 moldy biscuits. I was in denial because surely I wouldn't gave gotten moldy biscuits. I called the store at 10:06pm to complain and bring back the food for a refund. Tyler answered the phone saying sorry and that I can bring back only the biscuits to receive a full refund but that he wouldn't be able to until 10 am Jan 1st when they opened. We were leaving back to Denver area at 7am so 10am was incredibly inconvenient but he said no other option. I asked him what do I do with the food he said eat it/ trash it to just bring biscuits that it will be no problem and that he will leave a note for his GM Darnell for the morning to expect us at 10am. We got to restaurant on Jan 1st exactly at 10am. I asked for the manager and a man who said he was a manager (Alex) had to go get his GM who was in a meeting. We explained what I just explained above and after waiting a bit a woman who said she was GM (Darnell) came up front. We showed her the biscuits in person and she immediately said, "We don't serve moldy biscuits in this retuarant". She then examined them more and said it's from the pans and that she's had several a complaints at the other store. I told her Tyler said we can get refund without the food. She said her name was Darnell (I expected a man) and that they dont give refunds at all or especially without the full meal. That set my mother off who said that we are out of town we were promised a refund and the biscuits are in fact moldy and not from a pan. Darnell picked up her cell phone and I said, "Are you calling the police?" She said "yes". I asked. "Why? We didn't do anything". She put her phone down asked us to leave the store. I said no not without our money in cash like we paid. Darnell said they have no cash in the store right now (how is that possible when you're a business who just opened?) My mom went to use bathroom and Darnell then said she can give a refund "in small bills" (so all the sudden she has money to give me?). I don't care if she refunded me in penny's just give me a refund. It it was $28.53. She gave me a refund in 5s and 1s (which was fine). They tried to call Tyler while I was there he didn't answer. I asked Darnell to explain to me why she thinks the biscuits looking the way they did is because of the pan. She said that they wash the pan and it's still wet, they put butter on it. Cook them and the stuff that looks like mold is the pans lining comes off on biscuits (which is also not okay IF thst were the case). I do not buy that for one second. It's MOLD. I told her I will be contacting the health dept also and Darnell said "go ahead". She escalated the situation and was going to call cops for no reason and for being a GM was not professional at all. No apology for the issue or anything, lied about not having money on store only to offer "small bills" 5 minutes later. Even refused to open the register while my mom was standing in the store. My mom had only explained strongly that this issue had forced us to leave 3 hrs later for our 7 hr drive home and was a severe inconvenience. Tyler was really nice at the drive through and even afterwards on the phone. I commend him. Alex the 1st manager was nice but not useful. He said he cannot give refunds (how are you a manager but cannot give refunds?) To be honest the food was mediocre, dry and not great. Which we did mention but that got lost in all the drama of the moldy biscuits. I will contact the health dept next and won't be back to either popeyes since she said it happens at...
Read more😡 OVER 2 HOUR WAIT!!!.... jk, no, I went to the drive-through and took about 35 minutes from pulling up into the line to receiving my goods (yes, i used my stopwatch out of curiosity). But throughout the wait, I had 3 people ask the name on the order, check, and then inform us that our order was almost ready and apologize for the wait. Got the 12pc family bundle and the blackened chicken sandwich (got home and found an extra box with nuggets 👀 incentive for waiting?) I honestly saw no problem and told them there was no need to apologize. They just recently opened, so I understand all us fatties in farmington wanna give it a whirl because us farmington people literally do this to almost every "new" franchise that comes to town. Every employee I talked to had an uplifting attitude and was on point doing their jobs. Literally, everyone inside was smiling. I understand that theres multiple employees that work different times and on different days, so i understand i might get a different experience next visit, but this whole experience was definitely worth it!! I was not missing anything, and my order was correct. The food was fresh and hot. Nothing was over cooked it was perfect 🤌 I will be coming back again for the chicken sandwich (generious with the mayo 😍 - if you dont like that go to churches they barely put a drop on) and the nuggets, they were to die for! Like that nice crunch (not the stale kind), the one that's nice and crispy (not greasy or flaky) and then the tender chicken on the inside 🤤 I didn't even want to share honestly but it was too good not to brag to everyone!! It was the nuggets and the chicken sandwich that what won me over, definitely better than...
Read moreWe've purchased chicken there now three times since the place opened. We've eaten in Popeyes all over the country and the quality of the food here in our three meals certainly wasn't up to the samesstandards as the excellent Popeyes food in Albuquerque, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boise and other cities we've eaten at Popeyes. Chicken seems overcooked and only lukewarm and dry, especially the thin chicken strips. Rice and beans was bland compared to other Popeyes, and biscuits were dry, lukewarm and seem like yesterday's biscuits. We've waited 26 years for a Popeyes to come to Farmington and were very excited when one finally opened here. But so far, we are extremely disappointed with the quality of the food as compared to the other Popeyes franchises we've eaten at. We will try it a few times again but if the quality doesn't improve and come up to Popeyeys national standards as far as fresh hot food, fluffy hot biscuts and similar Cajun tastes (not like the lukewarm, bland rice and beans we've had so far), it's back to Kentucky Fried or Churches for us. When we have to pay premium prices for fast food, we expect to get a fresh, hot , quality product that is up to...
