Let me start by saying thank you Fate McDonaldâs team. Since moving to Royse City in 2009 this is the most anticipated opening I have been apart of, you guys are located just 5 minutes from my home, and I like to make visits to your location as often as possible. Unfortunately the actions of a select few employees recently have made me reluctant to visit this location any longer. Conversation can add up to 80% of an interaction. Regardless if my food is thoroughly cooked, or if the team remembers to send out all the straws. THE WAY YOU INTERACT WITH YOUR GUESTS DIRECTLY IMPACTS THE SERVICES PROVIDED- With that being said I would like to talk about my experience on 6/17/2023. I arrived at Fate McDonaldâs around 9:35PM and made my way into the drive through line, the line went quickly and I made it to the drive thru order screen around 9:40PM. A young lady began taking my order, while I was saying what I would like, and what changes I would like she began getting verbally aggressive towards me. I remained calm through the entirety of my order, even thought I felt rushed and unwelcome. When I made it to the first window I found out the person taking orders was Vanessa. Unfortunately this is not the first time Iâve had issues with her. Usually the customer service is unmatched, even during rush hours or later in the day. The same can not be said for this young lady, Vanessa is one of the most lousy aggravating food workers I have ever encountered. Her lack of empathy for people shown in the short term is unacceptable, and a directly reflection of her character quality in life. When I payed for my order she did not say a single thing to me. When I asked to add a drink she sulked at me, kissed her teeth and added the drink. I had to verbally confirm what my order was because she did not read it off. I had to request my receipt, and she once again sulked at me before handing my receipt reluctantly.    Read moreThe drive thru has 2 ordering stations. We were in the 1st one, wait awhile with no greeting or answer. So my partner attempted to get their attention several times saying hello multiple times, no answer. The 2nd station next to us was fine and we could hear them ordering next to us.
We werenât sure if there was an issue with the headset and they couldnât hear us or if they were just ignoring us so we just drove up to the 1st window to speak to them. We were only picking up a mobile order so there should not be too much of a hassle.
The 1st window had a girl taking orders for the 2nd drive thru station and beside her a guy wearing a headset (I assume he was suppose to handle the 1st drive thru station we were at) and their manager tapping away on the monitor.
The girl helped us but despite us bringing up MULTIPLE times that we did not get any response or help at the station drive thru they ALL continue to brush it off and ignore us like just being annoying bringing that up and should just leave them alone. They brought up our order, confirmed it and we got our food fine.
However, is it too much to ask for some decently and professionalism even at a McDonalds? Or do fast food workers get exempt from that now? There was no acknowledgment, explanation or apology regarding the inability to order at station 1.
All we got was annoyed faces in the verge of an eye roll. It takes 2 secs to explain it instead expecting your customers to just give you grace and to just âknowâ and stop âbotheringâ you about it. The fact that even the MANAGER was acting like that speaks volumes.

   Read moreThis restaurant is TERRIBLE. I won't be coming back. This restaurant has people waiting on there food forever. I walked in one time to pick up a mobile order and there was a woman waiting 30 minutes for a four piece nugget happy meal. I also went inside the other day because I went through the drive though and I was in the drive through for 30 minutes then they proceeded to forgot half of my order. I went inside the restaurant to speak to the staff and get the rest of my order and there was no manager on duty to train the new employees that were working that day. I also had ordered a ice cream and my ice cream was COMPLETELY melted when I received it. The "manager" on duty was trying make up stupid excuses to make it seem that the service I got was acceptable. They then proceeded to give me a Dr Pepper than I asked for with EXTRA ice with NO ice. I then had to stand there for EVEN LONGER waiting on more service so I could get my order correct. I also had another experience at this same restaurant where I was inside waiting on a mobile order and the manager was sitting down at a table eating with a customer laughing and giggling. He was doing far from his job. I then told him to get up and work so all of the people waiting (including me) could get our orders and go home after a long day. He then started freaking out because he got called out from not doing his job and was trying to prove he was the manager and he was doing his job while he was clearly doing far from it.
