Arrived around 4:00 pm.
There were two employees attending the place.
I stood for about 5-6 minutes, and none of them came to take my order. I went to the restroom.
Came back, and they were attending another client.
Once my turn came, I asked for a Large Chocolate Sundae with Peanuts. The lady asked if I wanted whole peanuts, and I replied that I wanted the regular peanut topping. I also asked for Oreos and a regular waffle cone.
She asked how many scoops I wanted with the cone, and I replied that I just wanted the cone by itself. She mentioned that they could add it as a topping, which pleased me.
They quickly had my order ready, but they made it with vanilla instead of chocolate.
I told her no worries, paid, and offered the sundae to another customer.
I will try again later and promise to update this review.
Update: Wednesday, May 29
I came back to this place around 1:45 pm.
This time, there was a different crew running the place.
I ordered a Chocolate Sundae with Oreos and Peanuts.
The lady asked a couple of questions to make sure I would get what I wanted.
Immediately after paying, I received the sundae, but once again, it was vanilla instead of chocolate.
She promptly took it back and made me another one, this time using the chocolate custard.
The chocolate custard was creamy and rich, but the toppings left a lot to be desired.
The peanuts were rancid, and the Oreo cookie crumbles were bland, tasting as if they had been sitting there for months.
Next time I want something like this, I will go to Publix, grab some of their premium chocolate ice cream, and a pack of Oreos.
I will not be coming back to this location.
P.S. There are some other not food related concerns: *One heater transformer got detached from the roof and is hanging by the electrical wires. *The electrical wiring has a bunch of electrical tape, which doesn't seem professional at all. check attached photos...
ย ย ย Read moreI wish I could leave zero stars! False advertisement to the max! This place is very unprofessional and super dismissive ! They could care less about anything you say. We stopped by Andyโs after a great baseball game and didnโt receive the best service. We usually go thru the drive thru but this time we went to walk up window. When placing my order, I saw a young lady scratching her head with her hands and I asked why the workers donโt wear gloves. I was told thatโs the company policy. Needless to say, our ice cream came out with barely any toppings. When I questioned the amount, I was told they were working on portion control. They put two to three pieces of health candy bar and very little caramel. We were visiting this place often but this was the last night! I know it was because the girl was scratching her head and we said something about it. Gloves would be great for the people preparing the ice cream too!
I got my money back and will not visit this place again. The lack of toppings added to the ice cream is an insult. Andyโs should be sued for false advertising! When asked about why the ice cream has nothing in it, they talk about portion control. The little hobbit looking manager does not make...
ย ย ย Read moreMy low two star review is based on two things. 1. They give you a rewards card or tell you to use the app but then don't honor their reward program and give you a free custard when you reach the required number of points. 2. The custard is EXPENSIVE......there's no reason why a small cup of custard should cost over $7. The cup is so small that it's a kiddie size. Freddy's Frozen Custard is down the street from Andy's.....their custard tastes just as good and is a cheaper price.
Then to make matters worse the amount of toppings in the cup is small. I ordered a vanilla custard with strawberries and cheesecake pieces.....I could barely find any strawberries in the cup and had to go back to the drive thru to request a small cup of strawberries. At those high prices I should not have to ask for more toppings!!!
For these reasons I have stopped going to Andy's as much...
