I am going to give you a play by play experience as it is happening with me and my family.
first off we entered a very strange entryway but it works... strange but great for getting a very large amount of people in the building before you open the 2nd door into the main dining area. This design is good for the people sitting close to the door in the dining room so the outside temp doesn't hit them every time the door opens. The main dining room looks nice... a cross between a warehouse store and a olive garden. lots of wooden booths with white paper "replace after every guest" table cloths. There is a long bar in the back with bar seating.
We where greeted by a hostess right away and seated just as fast. 2:30 P.M. on a Sunday afternoon. the restaurant was 1/2 to 2/3 full and people where still coming in.
Our server showed up less than 30 seconds after we sat down to get our drink orders. the white paper table coverings doubled as a name tag for our server as she wrote her name upside down to her right side up to us. she also wrote our drink orders on the table. great idea to keep track of the drinks everyone ordered.
after the drinks arrived she asked if we where ready to order... but the drinks came so fast of course we where not. she proceeded to tell us about the menu as well as some off menu specials that we might be interested in. We ended up ordering the off menu special with an extra 1/2 lb. snow crab.
while waiting on our food our server refilled our drinks several times before they even where empty.
our server has brought out a large bucket filled with bibs, gloves, bags, & wet wipes. plates for each person (Styrofoam) Along with our appetizer Calamari. Looks good .... tastes great. nice batter looks like small onion rings.
a relatively short time later and 1 more drink refill our food arrives. it came in a large bag loosely tide with lots of flavorful looking juice at the bottom ( we ordered Mild Cajun feast) the bag was in a large stainless steel dish to dump bag into. Okay this is going to be messy so ill be back it the next paragraph.
A quick trip to the restroom to clean up. Nice and clean restrooms BTW. Now type the next paragraph about the food.
Good!!! well seasoned. The stupid boiled egg I thought when i ordered this went very well with the boil and I enjoyed them. the corn and potatoes were basic, simple, but how can you make those any better... yes the sauce at the bottom. dip them in the sauce Mmmmmm.... I don't eat shrimp but my Daughter devoured them and asked for more. the crab was crab not much to do to make them better... wait there is still that sauce... Mmmmmm . Now there is the sausage. My wife and daughter said its good but they like store bought sausage like Johnsonville smoked sausage. It was tasty but the sauce did it no good in my opinion the sausage flavor was overpowering the Cajun seasoning sauce. Don't get me wrong it was good but I could have done without them. 7.5 out of 10 overall for the entire meal.
Now for the end of meal wrap up. The Jucy crab honors our military with a discount for on menu dishes (thank you) just don't expect a discount on off menu specials. Honestly the discount from the special is good enough. the price was what i expected to pay for a crab boil. My over all experience at the Juicy crab; food, ambiance, service, and price is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell when we got there it must have been during shift change or waiting for more employees to come in to work for the evening crowd, we waited outside for almost 40 minutes , then finally we were seated our waiter, J.D comes over to the table and writes J.D on the paper covering the table...initially he was good got our drinks, ordered the appetizers and our meal. The appetizers come and we enjoy, after a few minutes of enjoying our appetizers our tea glasses are empty...we set our glasses close to the edge of the table so he would notice we need refills,,approximately 8 to 10 minutes pass and he walks by our table towards the front door and sees our glasses empty but keeps walking.. after a few moments he walks back our way towards the bar and register, slowly walks. By our table and into the kitchen,, after a couple of minutes he emerges with our food, brings our food to the table, before leaving I ask for refills on our tea.. he disappears into the kitchen, for sometime, another employee comes out as he is walking through asks if we are alright.. I tell him our waiter still hasn't brought our refills if he would get our waiter, he leaves and very shortly he brings refills for us, my wife asks if he was the head server, he says no I'm the buster...( the bus boy ) we tell him thank you and continue with our meal...J.D finally emerges from the kitchen area about half way through our meal and seat 2 girls adjacent from us.. gets their drinks takes their order and gone again, brings their food out and 1 of the girls asks for a refill on her coke, brings out her refill and I stand and get his attention and ask for refills on our tea glasses, he shakes his head and acknowledges... goes back to the register behind the bar and starts chatting with the girl waitresses and never returns the bus boy comes out and is cleaning the booth diagonally across from us.. again he ends up getting our refills again and takes the appetizers tray off the table...he asks if we would like any dessert? I responded with that's something our waiter should have asked us.. but he hadn't been back since giving us our food... We asked him to tell our waiter we would like to have the check please, we can't cause he seems to be too preoccupied with the girl hostess, in the kitchen entrance... The bus boy goes over to J.D and points towards us and says we're ready for the check, after another 25 minutes sitting there waiting we finally go up front to the cashier area and ask can someone please get our check so we can go... she starts walking towards the back kitchen register area, when someone alternatively says I have it , it was the bus boy again if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have gotten any of our refills, extra napkins, or check and we would still be sitting there waiting on J.D after paying our bill, my wife goes down towards the kitchen area where the buster was busting a table that was right near j.d and 2 girl hostesses and tells the buster thank you for everything that he done to make up for others laziness and making our night more remember able...and gives him a $20.00 and says seems some here need to be promoted while others need to be fired.. our experience..waiter service sucked, but the food was great, I would recommend this restaurant for the excellent food just pray like hell you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love this location; however, the customer service has declined greatly. The last time I was in there on 5/8/20, an employee (tall, light skin, w/ tattoos and a hat) was soo rude to me that I was almost in tears!! He could be a manager/supervisor, but Iām not sure. This is not the first time he has been rude and less than helpful, but Iāve always let it go thinking āMaybe heās overwhelmed.ā But with his continuous behavior, heās just rude and comes off as if he see some customers as less than. Which I find odd since Iām spending money in there. Iāve never been a problematic customer and I tip well, even for to-go orders. In fact, prior to the pandemic I called soo much for to-go orders that a few employees recognize my voice and definitely knew my face when I arrived. Even now, I order online through UberEats, which cost significantly more for the same item you would get with a walk-in to-go order; I donāt understand why and feel itās ridiculous, but itās better than waiting in line. Nevertheless, I have continued to support this location during the pandemic, but I willnāt be anymore! I realize Iām just one person, so it willnāt hurt the revenue. But no one should spend their money in a place that fails to provide at least average customer services and with the amount of food you paid for. Donāt get me started on the fact that the kitchen as barely been putting sauce in the boil bags!! Itās Juicy Crab, not Dry Crab! The food quality has gone down due to the kitchens unwillingness to put adequate sauce as originally made in the boil bags. Iām paying more and getting less; that makes no sense. Itās just laziness in the kitchen and not wanting to make more sauce. And sometimes the amount of food Iāve gotten is not consistent, although I frequently order the same thing. Seems like they are just throwing whatever in a bag. At times, I know I was getting less than what I paid for. I am soo disappointed in what has come of this location. Donāt pay for the hype and receive poor service. This location needs...
