My friends and I decided to chill here Friday night. It was probably about 12 ppl already there and it was 7 of us. Mind you, I’m not a stranger to Charlie Mike’s, we always enjoy ourselves with Ally and as of recent Morgan. This night we had the nastiest bartender ever, Peyton. It was so bad one of my friends went to ask her if everything was ok because this is our first time experiencing her, we didn’t know if we did anything wrong. She goes on to say no she had just worked 3 days straight and was tired. No excuse for the nasty attitude. We asked if the kitchen was still open she says yea what do yall want? She didn’t offer us a menu or anything (this was the first time two of my friends have been here) so my friend asks what all do you have, she gives a look like we’re asking for too much. I just suggested the hot dogs. We moved to a pool table and ordered shots, my friend went to grab them and had to ask if she could help bring the rest to the table food as well. We probably had about 6 rounds or so, wings, multiple orders of fries, 2 orders of hot dogs, and getting her to attend to us was difficult because she was washing dishes. She closed at 1 saying it wasn’t enough people but yet we were spending money. Just her demeanor and attitude was depressing. Somebody give...
Read moreRelaxed atmosphere, good drinks, and fun are words to describe Charlie Mike's. A couple of girlfriends and I met here on Friday afternoon and had a great time. As soon as you step in you feel like you are in the 80s show "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. The bartender, who also was the waitress, greeter, and go between the bar and kitchen, quickly took my order and made me feel at home as well. I decided to stick with two Bold Rock ciders that were extra cold and crisp out the tap.
As I looked around the restaurant I enjoyed the tributes to the Military service members past and present. So many great people they pay tribute to and that made me smile inside and out. Also, a sweet and cute service dog walks around waiting for you to drop food, so that helps!
The restaurant did not serve bar food until 8pm, so I went with their chicken fried rice. I love that it was huge and stuffed with vegetables, chicken, and most importantly flavor! It was not too salty and just made you want to keep eating more and more. The bartender/waitress/greeter warned me that I would never be able to finish this and she promptly brought me a box.
For the atmosphere, food, and drinks I definitely will be back. Great little spot to hit on the weekends for well priced drinks and to meet...
