Like many others- I was a vegan who was misled by the advertisement of their “plant-based” wings. Not just misled- but told directly by staff that their plant-based wing option was vegan-friendly. They even told us to get them naked- because the sauce has egg! (I will add, this was a bit over a year ago that they told us this).
They also displayed a vegan-award in their store, making the whole thing even more confusing. However, it is now clear that these wings actually contained egg/dairy product. The wings are awesome, but were seriously mis-advertised. They now show this on their website, but unfortunately the damage has been done & over multiple years!
I believe it is disrespectful to “wipe off the shoulder” the confusion they have caused many who adhere to a vegan lifestyle (which someone may need to follow for a MULTITUDE of reasons). I also see they responded rudely to previous reviews regarding this SERIOUS matter, which sucks as we had visited this place multiple times a month throughout the years. Super sad that no accountability is taken. But the more you know!
EDIT: I appreciate the response, however, this does not mention/take accountability for your employees actively telling patrons that your plant-based wings were vegan-friendly. I do not need the clarification for plant-based vs vegan friendly, however clearly your staff does. This issue is entirely caused by miscommunication from your restaurant. To act like it is on the patron negates the reason you have several reviews by vegans who have also been misled. You displayed vegan-friendly awards (I understand you didn’t make the award category, however you proudly displayed it. So if you didn’t actually fit the category, you implied you do have vegan-friendly options by displaying this? I am confused why you admitted to not fitting the standard but displaying the award). Further, you have just recently started to display a Q&A section on your website with the ingredients clearly listed. This was not always available (which is why we’ve called/checked in multiple times in the past to confirm the wings were vegan). All of this aside, it is clear you misled your vegan patrons. To say...
Read moreThe absolute best wings and chicken in NWA, and I'll even go as far to say best in the state! My family, friends, and I can't get enough of this place. Food is always spectacular, everything cooked fresh to order and servings are plentiful! Staff is friendly and always welcoming to new guests, offering them samples of all the sauces. Their sauces are super unique takes on traditional options, all of them are hot sauce based. You can't go wrong with any of them. Their honey mustard is out of this world, so different from anything you'll find anywhere else. I personally love that and their traditional hot sauce, it's a perfect hot buffalo style. Their wings are the perfect size, far from small but not so big that you can't fit them in your mouth. They are the perfect texture and crispiness, my mouth is watering as I type this. Try the flat fries and don't sleep on the chicken tenders, amazing! If they haven't sold out of the pound cake, make sure to grab a slice. I am not a big lemon guy, but it's just perfect, as everything else is. I want to try their catfish, but in the last 2+ years I've been coming here, I just can't stray from the chicken because I love it so much and feel like it's so hard to find good wings nowadays. I can't say enough good things about this place, their staff, and of course the food!!
My go to order is: 10 piece traditional wings, hot flavor, flat fries, ranch, roll, and Dr. Pepper....
Read moreA group of 4. Food was ok. Cooked well but not seasoned well. Gizzards were salty. Only option for lemon pepper is hot. I guess when 3 order Hot Lemon Pepper and 1 orders just Lemon Pepper, that wasn't a prompt to differentiate. It was enough for the owner, husband, chef to come out with other staff to inform he cooked it, Lemon Pepper only comes in hot and not offer any solution. Shrimp had no seasoning. Hush puppies were hard. Hot lemon pepper wings had a sweet taste so that was weird. Okra fried well but no seasoning. We were mixed on the potato salad. One liked sweet and liked it. Two didn't like. Other liked but added salt and pepper. Fries and frozen margaritas were good! Service from everyone else was good as well.
Response to below: we’re all from other places. The 1 who has lived in this area for only a little over a year, this was her third time there. This was the group feedback as detailed for individual orders. The menu online references an in-house based sauce and lists Lemon Pepper and Hot Lemon Pepper as separate options. This is what I meant by differentiating. Menu differentiates. Menu lists 2 options, 3 ordered Hot, 1 ordered not, nothing says “kick”, no one said, no offer to try sauce. Hopefully you see the confusion. But yes: 4 female friends out … we were enjoying our...
