I cannot emphasize enough how HORRIBLE the service was at this establishment. My husband and I went at lunch time and they were busy and only had one girl waiting the tables. We sat for a while before being waited on and when she came to get our orders we told her Dr Pepper and sweet tea. She came back with my Dr Pepper but not his sweet tea. I had to ask for a straw, and if we were going to get chips and salsa and she said yes. We got chips but no salsa and he got an “unsweet” tea without a straw for him. She comes with the salsa and it is a tiny little bowl for us to share. I ask for another one so we could have our own. It does t come. So I have to go back and ask for it AND his straw. I get both and go back to the table. We sat and waited our whole lunch hour for the food. Oh, and a lot of others were getting up and leaving in the meantime because they either never got waited on or gave you by not getting their food and left. Frustrated, i go to tell the waitress that we have to get back to work and just put it in a to go box. We go back and sit and wait and I finally go back to ask if the food is even being prepared and if it’s not then we will just pay for our drinks and leave. She did she didn’t think it was and to not worry about lying for our drinks. I told her that it was not her fault because she was the only waitress, but that they are going to lose even more if this keeps up. This was THE WORST service I have ever had and I will NEVER go back. It’s really sad because the food looked really good, but “decent” service needs to go along with it. Y’all can take the chance if you want, but I’d advise you to NOT go on...
Read moreI am very tough when I review a Mexican restaurant. I feel like we're inundated in Northwest Arkansas with blah Mexican cuisine. We decided this was close to church one Sunday afternoon, so we stopped in. It was very empty, but I know they're just starting out and the location does not have a reputation for helping a restaurant boom. The inside is decorated pretty tasteful, bright vibrant colors like you expect. There was an effort at elegance while maintaining a casual look. Everything was clean, even the bathrooms we visited later. The menu was extensive, letting you find what most Mexican restaurants have available as well as a section of chef creations that were much more imaginative and intriguing. We ordered the stuffed avocado, adding shrimp, the chicken quesadilla and the chili relleno. I felt like the presentation of the relleno and the avocado balls were excellent while the quesadilla was sitting in grease. The portions were pretty decent for the price, as I feel you're paying for quality. I thought the meal itself was excellent. The taste was flavorful without being too bold, and I feel like the textures of each dish was considered. I understand the quesadilla was greasy from all the cheese, which probably needs a little tweaking. Also, the wait time was about 30 minutes for our meal, but I was totally okay with waiting because the salsa and chips they served were some of the best I've had. We will definitely be back, and I'm excited to see where this chef will take...
Read moreThe building and decor put me off at first as me and my girlfriend half-whittling joked that this would be like most average Mexican restaurants, but we were very surprised to come out loving the place to the point we would feel obligated to tell more people about it. The waitress was very sweet and took good care of us. There was an obvious respect for presentation in the food, and I feel most mexican establishments don't give enough attention to presentation. The food wasn't just smashed in together on the same plate. The taste of the food was just wonderful. If I was not in a hurry at the time, I would've taken as much time as possible to savor it longer.
What I didn't like: I would've totally missed this place if It weren't for chance, but I can forgive that. The steak in my food was a little bit too chewy and tough. And the beans felt like they didn't season them enough.
Conclusion: I Rarely take the time to review the places I go to, but I honestly enjoyed it here so much that I can expect to be back for more. Chef Luna and his crew are doing a very good job, and I think all of these reviews will say so as...
