This is a chain restaurant within the Fayetteville area and I decided upon this one. Upon entering, I was greeted and seated fairly quickly since it was not busy on a weekday for an early dinner. I got some complimentary chips and salsa which were seasoned appropriately.
I decided on ordering a burrito of some sort and asked for some recommendations from the waitress and ended up selecting the Burrito Texano. The burrito came out with a side of queso and a separate plate of rice and beans. The burrito itself was not well-wrapped, but was filled decently. It had a mix of steak, chicken, and shrimp with rice, beans, and pico added. The flavors to me fell flat and were not seasoned enough. The textures of the shrimp and chicken were okay, but the steak was bland. The rice was a bit overcooked and had a mushy consistency that mimicked the beans leaving the overall burrito lackluster in terms of texture.
I waited for service to ask for some hot sauce since it was delivered by another person other than the waitress that took my order, but after a while had to get up and find someone to ask. It was not busy and I ended up finding my waitress was just chatting with some other co-workers at the other end of the restaurant.
Overall, the meal experience was mediocre and in terms of service I would be hesitant...
Read moreThe food came out in a timely manner, chips and tea were very good. Our server seemed bothered or possibly slightly upset. Hostess was very nice. Man who cashed us out was also nice.
I ordered the combination special #4, which is SUPPOSED to consist of a Chile relleno, taco, and rice & beans (not the Chile relleno stuffing itself but the actual stuffed pepper). When my dish arrived, I received a dish of ground beef and melted cheese, with so little poblano pepper in it that all of the pieces could fit onto my fork, 5 tiny pieces the size of cashew nuts. I asked to substitute a soft shell instead of hard and they obliged. Unfortunately, it was Taco Bell quality. My rice and beans were delicious, as was the salsa. I didn't want to give anyone a hard time or be a pain so I ate it anyways.
The bathroom stalls were narrow and difficult to maneuver. On the way to the bathroom, there were large quantities of visible water on the floor. There was no "wet floor" sign and it was obvious, employees kept walking by it and doing nothing. My disabled mother almost slipped l, as did I.
All in all, the quality and portion sizes have gone downhill. MiCasita's used to be a family favorite but it will be a while before I go back to any location and I'll NEVER step foot into the Bragg Blvd location again....
Read moreI picked this restaurant based on the Google reviews. I am a Production Manager for the film industry and frequently need to get crews fed on a timely basis. Twice today, I called ahead to be sure this restaurant could accommodate my small crew of 9 filmmakers at 6:00 pm tonight. I was assured that it would be no problem when I called with all 9 orders to be ready when the crew arrived. So, I called at 5:15 pm and placed the orders by name for the crew, with one crew member present to witness as I was not there, and once again was assured that the plates would be ready. At 6:23 pm a crew member called me to ask why their food was not ready. MORE THAN AN HOUR after I had placed the order, there was NO FOOD. What Mexican restaurant has ever taken more than 15 minutes get any food out? When I asked the manager what the problem was he told me the owner was in Mexico and the cooks couldn't handle that many plates and hung up on me. NOT MY IDEA OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. The crew walked out and did not eat there....
