So I definitely enjoyed the location and atmosphere. Good music while I sat. Chips were fine. Salsa although mild bc I don't do hot, tasted like tomato sauce. I ordered a large margarita and it was tasty and came quickly. I ordered birria tacos and they too came quickly. Appearance: looked questionable ...like microwaved questionable. See my Pic. The cheese was hard..and for how quickly it came out- hard cheese is not what I expected. The taco was limp..and dry tasting- definitely reheated flavor. Something I'd do at home tbh. The meat inside was not tasty to me. I HATE to say that bc I hate writing negative reviews for food industries. But it tasted like it wasn't seasoned. I have never had to add salt to anything but French fries in a looooong time but I didn't make a fus because 1: I'm hungry. 2: what if my 2nd option is bad too and I waited for nothing? 3: I don't get out much...I'm a sahm and this was supposed to be my treat while I browsed next door. I ate them.. but was honest with my server(who was kind) but told her I didn't enjoy them. The beans were better than the meat but still, I only ate a few spoonful. I'm full, but not satisfied. I added salt and poured the broth in the tacos to get some flavor and it did the trick to disguise the bland. Despite the excellent service and music and drink I won't be...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had an unpleasant experience recently. Long story short, I ordered my usual (beef nachos) and the meat was different. I asked the waiter if they changed their meat to a new brand or product and he assured me it was the same. Gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking it could taste better than it looks, but I was wrong. I asked if I could order something different and he had an attitude, but allowed me to. My girlfriend ordered tacos de carne asada which was listed as $2 less than what they charged her. We bring this to their attention only to be told that she asked for regular carne asada, not tacos and charged her the higher price. Moving on, I ordered a rice bowl trio for my bf (shrimp. Chicken, chorizo) to go and upon checking it, there was only chicken. I go back to ask for it to be made correctly and the manager demands to see the receipt which isn't an issue I know that you need to provide proof of purchase. He rolls his eyes and says well they only forgot the shrimp theres chorizo in there you just can't see it. 10 minutes later the order is made correctly(with invisible chorizo and all!) I've never had an issue at this location before, but that was the 3rd and final straw! I will not be returning :( I give 2 stars because the past experiences were amazing! Just very unhappy with...
Read moreI do Doordash pickups from this restaurant frequently but I've never gotten food from here for myself. So I figured I'd give it a try for the first time. The ground beef in the hard tacos were ok. Nothing extraordinary. The hard taco shells didn't seem homemade but more prepackaged like the El Paso/similar brands you can buy in the grocery stores. The tacos only had ground beef, cheese, and lettuce. No onions, no tomatoes, no sour cream. They gave me tortilla chips with my order, which are complementary, but oh man, these were stale as heck! They must have boxes of them sitting in the restaurant days old ready to give out. I'm gonna toss them out in the backyard for the birds. Save yourself some money and just go to Taco Bell for equal quality tacos than this place. Or better yet, go to El Burrito Mexican Restaurant II on Andrews Road off Ramsey Street. They have home-made hard shells and the ground beef is more flavorful. One additional note: my order was to go, and on my receipt there were quite a few 25 cent charges for my to go order. I assume this is to cover the cost of the aluminum containers they use for to go orders. I just don't understand why so many people order from...
