Review for "Mo' Tacos and Churros":
I ventured to "Mo' Tacos and Churros" with great anticipation, especially for their famed green sauce. However, my experience was less than stellar. When inquiring about the sauce, I was met with an unnecessarily convoluted explanation about the "cost of goods sold" from an employee named Asa. While I did end up spending $50+ on tacos and the elusive green sauce, neither lived up to their hype. The tacos lacked flair, and the sauce was overwhelmingly salty.
The ambiance of the place felt tailored more towards the late-night, inebriated crowd rather than genuine taco enthusiasts. In stark contrast, my visit to Wright's Barbecue the next day was filled with warmth and impeccable customer service. They generously shared their homemade cilantro ranch without making a fuss about its 'secrecy'.
To "Mo' Tacos and Churros": consider taking a leaf out of Wright's BBQ's book on hospitality. I'm awarding a single star for this visit. The quest for the perfect taco...
Read moreFirst & last time to visit. After seeing great reviews I was looking forward to trying a local hot spot. The manager was very polite and professional. However, after being told that it was locally owned by a Latino family, I expected authentic food. The cheese on the nachos is the same you get from a movie theater or out of the can in a convenience store, not queso just cheese sauce. The chips are also not made in house, and again the same you can find in theater nachos. The pico was the only thing in the nachos with flavor. The churro was also burnt. Considering it’s what they are known for, this was very disappointing.
Edit: Thanks for the Spanish lesson, based on what I was served didn’t think you knew what “authentic” queso/cheese meant.
If you are this offended by an honest review rather than appreciative of the insight then we shouldn’t expect anything to...
Read moreThis place for the price is not it, The food had zero flavor, I got a al pastor burrito, and 3 street tacos. The street tacos were extremely dry, and the tortillas are meh quality, the burrito itself was also very tasteless and bland, with barley any al pastor inside of it.
This place makes sense for it being in the Dickson bar district and it may taste good if you are absolutely obliterated and don’t like flavorful food. Pricing was an absolute disappointment for the food.
Service was not bad though and the guy working was helpful and kind overall! Service is good! Food just...
