I have purposely avoided this restaurant since the pandemic. Today I decided to give them another try. Unfortunately the things that led me to avoid this restaurant are still occurring. Poor customer service, inaccurate orders. Poor attitudes from employees. I completely appreciate that dinner rush may be highly stressful, but customer service should not be compromised. The individual who filled my order left out the coleslaw. It was not until I got home that I realized this. I attempted to call the restaurant to bring this to their attention, numerous attempts were met with hangups. So reluctantly i drove back to the restaurant (8 miles). Where I was met by who I assume was the manager. Her initial question for me without me uttering a word was " You back up here for something " in what I perceived as a rude tone. Offended by her lack of tact l, I simply responded " He forgot my coleslaw" pointing to the individual who had earlier taken my order ( I believe they called him Ike. She responded hold on a minute. And walked outside. When she returned she asked me again what I was there for. I again responded, " He forgot my coleslaw". She asked what size? I told her a large. Then she asked what else did I want. I said it would good for them to do something to account for the fact that I had to return to get my complete order. To which she responded " That's not I asked you" In a very disrespect tone. I then showed her the receipt by placing it on the counter. I told her since you said it like that, you can replace every item on this receipt. There was some sort of breeze blowing in the lobby, and the receipt blew on the floor behind the counter. She walked away and put her hands up. I waited for appx 10 minutes before another young lady who I have to admit was the only person who was polite. Asked how she could help. I told her I was under the assumption someone was going to replace my order. Either the manager or the individual who messed the order up in the 1st place. To which the manager said, I was gonna take care of it until he threw the receipt on the floor. To which I loudly responded " No ma'am, I did not. The wind blew that on the floor, you assumed that I threw and walked away " Eventually the order was filled and I left. This in my opinion was completely avoidable, and much more easily remedy. I honestly didn't even want the food. I just wanted them acknowledge the mistake and offer some sort of contrite gesture. None of which in my opinion really occurred save the one young lady who intervened briefly. Needless to say, I will not patronize this location again. Just sad that we can't do better. Good customer service appears to be a thing...
Read moreI normally don’t eat out but had a taste for a piece of chicken but I see that going forward, if I decide to grab Popeyes, it will be at the better location in Peachtree City. I’m resuming my regular approach to eating at home and have no plans of returning to this location again..at least not for chicken. DO BETTER and respect the guests and their money that they spend at your location to keep you in business. By the way, the other wing was tiny as well but at least the two of them together made a decent piece. I ordered a two piece dark that should’ve had a drumstick. You just gave me what you wanted in an attempt to get rid of your small wings and it’s the size of my thumb literally and figuratively. Then tried to erase my comment as I’m texting it. Don’t act as if you’re doing me a favor by giving a an equally small wing to make up the difference and tell me that’s how they come and basically deal with it. No empathy or understanding for those that keep you in business! Count your days..you will not get another dime of my money unless I’m desperate and starving with no other options left in town. *Update *I swore that I would not come here again but I did only because my son didn’t want to drive to Peachtree City at the better location after a 3 hour practice. The service on July 14, 2025 SUCKED YET AGAIN! Slow cashiers, taking their sweet time with only 3 of us waiting in the dining room with pans of chicken precooked while they hold personal conversations literally while holding an empty bag in her hand as she is talking to the others. Then when I asked her for a separate bag for one order, she only looked at me as if she wanted to say something smart so I stared at her waiting so I can pop off. She didn’t acknowledge the request as if she heard me but she placed the order in the bag..she was chubby with slides on and my order was placed at 7:26 pm..the receipt says Janiyah but at least two people handled my order, one was slender and the nasty attitude one was heavy set. My total was $40.94 and while checking my bag before leaving, one of my mashed potatoes was missing so I had to ask the slender one for it because I was 2 seconds away from crashing out on the chubby one if she gave me attitude. No manager was present and it seems as if they just do whatever they want. The one in Peachtree City is far better and I will continue to go there even though it’s out of my way but I will do do so to avoid the Fayetteville location. I see why their rating in a 3.0 out of 5. Surprised it...
Read moreComplaint About Disturbing Customer Service Experience – Fayetteville, GA Location
To Whom It May Concern,
I am a single mother and disabled veteran. I am writing to bring to your attention a very upsetting experience I had at one of your locations — Popeyes at 242 Banks Crossing, Fayetteville, GA 30214 — on November 3rd, between approximately 11:45 AM and 12:15 PM.
I visited this Popeyes with my autistic son, who was simply looking forward to his chicken tenders. I placed an order totaling around $6 and some change, and I paid with a $100 bill. The cashier gave me back $83 and change, which didn’t seem correct. Upon reviewing my receipt, I noticed that I had been charged for an order totaling $16 and some change instead of the correct amount.
When I calmly brought this to the cashier’s attention, she appeared irritated and went to get the manager. She then handed me $6, insisting that was the correct change. When I respectfully told her that it was not, she began yelling, saying “Bruh, yes it is right,” and continued shouting as she stormed away from the window, behaving aggressively as though she might come outside to confront me. She continued yelling in the back of the restaurant, creating a very hostile and unprofessional environment.
My autistic son became frightened and started crying, which broke my heart. I did my best to stay calm, despite the stress of the situation and my own mental health challenges as a veteran. The manager eventually came out, verified the mistake, and gave me the correct change, but he refused to provide me with the employee’s name or his own. He only stated that he would “handle it.”
This experience left me shaken and distressed. I had to remain parked for about 15 minutes afterward to practice coping techniques before I could safely drive home. As a paying customer, I did nothing to deserve being treated in such a disrespectful and aggressive manner, especially in front of my child.
I’m requesting that this matter be fully investigated, and that appropriate training or disciplinary action be taken to ensure no other customer — especially one with a child or disability — has to experience something similar. I would also appreciate a follow-up to confirm how this issue will be addressed.
Thank you for your time and attention.
