Their worker Taylor is VERY unprofessional in my experience and opinion. I pulled up to order as I normally would and the initial girl taking the drive through order was noticeably agitated. She was frustrated because I asked if she was sure they didn’t have biscotto gilato - she got noticeably frustrated with me and said if I want to see the list, I just need to go to the window and then she turned off the drive-through speaker. And when I drove up to the window I was met by her- visibly agitated, and YELLING to me she wasn’t being rude as she was in a visibly agitated state. Then I was met with another girl (Taylor with the bleached hair) with even MORE attitude. I even asked what the issue was and if I HAD DONE SOMETHING. Imagine a place where the customer feels they need to ask if they are the reason for them being mistreated. Then I called to leave a message for the manager and I left my number but not my name cause the baristas wouldn’t give me anyone’s names but the “manager” Victoria. Then my phone rang and it was the bleach blonde second girl Taylor calling with even more attitude telling me they need my name to leave for the manager and I stated that I didn’t feel comfortable with her having my name - then she said she would put the manager on and she three way called me on speaker phone so she could hear my complaint while I spoke to the manager that turned out to be “one of the owners”. She was also less than helpful or understanding in my experience and opinion UP TO THIS POINT. I felt very monopolized. I have been coming to this establishment since before IT was in this location and it was in the old location in Westwood shopping center. I will never return to this establishment ever again. I now see the malice in the way that these people can treat you and get away with it and think that the public just HAS to take it. This is one of the most disgusting ways I’ve ever been treated. I had also stated my concern that perhaps one of the workers may be under the influence of some thing, or having a bad day, and taking it out on people, and that manager, Victoria found ways to twist my words, and make it seem like I was trying to attack her workers. These are my concerns this is my...
Read moreI visited the coffee scene today around 2:00pm and ordered a 16oz ice sweater weather latte with whip and extra ice in a 20oz cup made with oat milk. I have had a few issues with my drinks before but not this issue. I put my drink in my cup holder as usual after the barista gave it to me but my jacket got caught on the lid and when getting out the car the lid popped off spilled a little but no big deal. Putting the dome lid back on was difficult and when trying to put it back on the cup bent and then cracked on the side and all the coffee started spilling out into my dual cup holder. I called the store immediately after and spoke to a young lady around 2:10 pm about the issue and she said I can get a drink remake and she would let night crew know. I just got off work and went to get my remake and the lady that is currently there tonight stated no one told her about it. I was unable to get a drink remake. I forgot the ladies name that told me but I gave her my name. I’ve spent money for a drink that I did not get to drink. It’s understandable that the young lady may have forgotten to tell her about the remake but a drink remake for the issue I would think is ok. It bothered me even after describing the issue to the lady tonight what happened and that I was told I could have it remade to not have it remade. The cups are thin and I’m usually gentle with them but now I just have a big mess and no drink ...
Read moreThe Coffee Scene is eclectic. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. The night we were there they had spoken word performances and musical performances upstairs. It was enjoyable, not something we would typically seek out but it was a fun experience. The performers were quite good. The place has several seating nooks with comfy couches and chairs, some high top tables and bistro tables. There is also outdoor seating. They offer coffee, teas and other beverages along with pastries, cookies, Gelato. We had coffee and it was okay. I rate it 1 mug on a scale of 0 to 2 mugs as the best. It was okay. I ordered a Decaf Americano and it was a little light on coffee flavor (they may have only put one shot of espresso in the 12oz cup. For my taste I would prefer 2 shots.) I will say the coffee was HOT. I had to get a few ice cubes in order to drink it all before they closed. Which also brings me to my one issue, they didn't have mugs available. It was one hour before closing and they told us they put the mugs away for the night! What?? Two mugs would have been to much to wash after we left? Of course we took paper cups anyway but come on. Enough of my complaining. My husband had a cappuccino dry and he said the milk to coffee ratio was the way he liked it (he did tell them how much milk & foam...
