Went to Mi Casitas on 12/29 for what I thought would be a nice authentic meal but had a horrible experience the seating arrangements were just horrible in a mirror area where everyone was watching everyone dine which made me and my guest uncomfortable, the menu had a sour aroma of spoiled milk or wet mop . We started our experience out with a cocktail that was extremely watered down the waitress touch my guest straw with her bare hands and placed it in his drink which was very unsanitary, upon explaining how bad the drinks taste another waitress was sent to our table with a bad attitude claiming it was our alcohol tolerance which made us not be able to taste the liquor in our drinks, I find that comment to be quite offensive by her assumptions that we drink heavy ,she went on to say she was glad we could communicate efficiently as if we were going to argue about a low budget drink . The meal was basic I could’ve went to Taco Bell had I wanted runny food and globs of unmelted cheese on my taco . I will definitely say the quality of food and service has gone down at this particular Mi casitas I will no longer dine there again.. I will continue to go to some of the other establishments if I could give a negative 0 I definitely would . Reilly Rd, Raeford Rd and Hope mills Mi casitas know how to treat their patrons and the food/drinks...
Read moreBeen dining at this location for the last 18 years. Not sure what went wrong today, but the hostess showed us to our table, and rather than let us be seated before trying to go back to her station, she opted to squeeze by us while we were still standing in the aisle... It was shortly after opening with no one else waiting to be seated--what was the rush? All she did was hurry off and chit chat with another employee.
The house salsa tasted sweeter and had more of a tomato sauce flavor than usual, and my taco and enchiladas were exceptionally greasy as if the kitchen didn't drain the meat. When I suggested the server have a word with the kitchen, she simply said, "Okay, is it going to be separate checks or one?" Not at all interested in making sure guests had a good experience.
Thankfully, I saw the manager, showed him a picture of my plate full of grease, and he had FAR more appropriate response and assured me he'd check on the issue. Overall, I'm not sure what was going on with the hostess, server, and kitchen today, as this isn't the Mi Casita I know, but if it wasn't for the manager, I might have sworn off this...
Read moreI ordered a beef and bean burrito at lunchtime to go. The problem wasn't that I had to eat it with a fork, I mean, they do put sauce on EVERYTHING. The problem was THEY USE TOO MUCH SALT. I bet a lot of the cooks there have hypertension, high blood pressure and don't even know it. The amount of salt caused me to only take a few bites. I have been to all the Mi Casita's in Fayetteville in hopes that one would be better than the other. THEY'RE NOT. Everyone of them uses TOO MUCH SALT. Therefore, I have made a conclusion, since they are all the same in their too much salty food, I no longer will spend my money at any location anymore. It's better for my health to stay away from their too much salty foods. It was so salty that I could barely taste the food. I should have gone to El Burrito on Andrews Road. They are not heavy handed with the salt and the food is better anyway. It is too far away but next time, I will be willing to make the trip. Now, I will have to flush my body by drinking a...
