Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Fayetteville

Seafood in my wings and things !!! So I come to this Zaxbys with my family and I get wings and things I get home and start my food and I see that there is a piece of shrimp in my chicken, I’m highly allergic to seafood so my wife called , they told us to come back and they could fix it for us. so we came back immediately. after waiting roughly 15 to 20 minutes the manager finally came to talk to me and I said that there’s a shrimp in my chicken and she goes okay you can’t get a refund cause we make our seafood and chicken in the same basket and the same grease so I asked her what are we gonna do about this today and she says nothing cause she stated she already told her general manager about it so I get no refund and almost a near death experience, after eating the chicken , my throat immediately started to swell, which is then when I saw the shrimp. Mrs T or Mrs toyna says “what ever “ after i told her throw it away because I can’t eat it. I told her I had no attitude so she shouldn’t give me one and she proceeds to try to argue, I also stated you should let your customers at the drive through know that you’re making your seafood and chicken in the same baskets and grease , which is completely unsafe . I told her she knows better she took a serv safe, she’s a manager , and she knows that’s wrong. The allergen statement states that the shrimp and chicken are cooked in the same grease, not the same basket. Then they proceeded to toss the shrimp and chicken in the buffalo sauce, and proceeded to serve it . so I recommend not eating here if you are severely allergic to seafood also not to mention the employees were enjoying themselves thinking it was funny. Worst experience ever at this location. Me and my fiancé are both regulars at this Zaxbys but tonite was not it. First when we walked in the register shut down so it was a 5 min wait, no biggie, it happens. When I went back up there it took them awhile to take my order because I had waited so long to go back. But I soon realized that for some reason I see the older women struggling to handle orders and making sure they get to right person in time, and there were 2 teens standing next to her doing absolutely nothing but bagging food, but it wasn’t like they were flying food out fast, they slowly made the food so there was no reason as to why there were 3 employees flirting with the cook and the manager (wearing a blue shirt, so I assume manager) was just standing there not saying or doing anything, then proceeds to give the older women an attitude because she needed something for a DoorDash order that has been waiting for over 30 mins for the food. The other customer next to me waited over 40 mins for a salad. I’m a manager at another store but there should been no reason as to why she had to work by herself and the other employees just stood there watching and laughing with the cook. I worked 10 hours at my job and my fiancé worked over 12 at his drill, so all we wanted was some simple food and come home and eat. I was highly disappointed to see the work ethic those 2 employees showed tonite especially since they look about my age (18-21), I most definitely praise the older women who tried her best to get orders out as quickly as possible. Zaxby's is a guilty pleasure of mine just as Arby's is. More on the pricey side of food choices within the realm of fast food chains BUT OH MY GOODNESS it's GREAT! That wimpy mild sauce on my 5 piece boneless wings meal for only $5.95 IS THE BEST! They really know their stuff when it comes to spices and flavors they use on their food! You have so much on your platter to eat as well that you kindly and most of the time get to save it for later if you wish! Still tastes delicious when reheated!! I would go check it out if you haven't yet! They are fast in the drive thru and are quick to get everything you need in bag and ready to go before you even pay! They also are amazing at fixing or replacing any rare mix ups at the window as well. They've remade me not just one salad I needed for my mom but gave me an extra free! Very kind and understanding people, I may say. I'm jealous of all who get to work around all that greatness on their shifts day in and day out! That food would be my EVERY DAY dinner guaranteed, lol. I absolutely love it and a new manager/employee there in Hope Mills is cool as well!! He got that Northern/NY/ Jersey accent and he's a trip!
