Birria tacos with chilies torreados is my favorite Mexican dish, and I've eaten it at many places. Everything I had was handmade with fresh vegetables and fruits! If I wasn't sitting in a restaurant, I would have sworn it was home cooked. The pulled beef had small chunks, it wasn't all the same like a big chain restaurant. There were fresh cilantro tios and onion pieces, I could tell it hadn't been sitting in a big bowl all day. It looked like small batches are made throughout the day. This place is going to outgrow the small building and will rival "The Hunter"(elcazador) before long! The beef was flavorful and tender but could have used a bit more fat in the Consommé (really more of an au jus with the vegetables immersion blended). The flavors were only missing a little more garlic and a cold bar to add onions and other sauces. They were brought to my table when i asked though. My server was gracious, attentive, and has the personality for this work. I hope she isn't working her way through college, because she made the dining there a real pleasure!
Next time, I will order a few more chiles toreados and a few small onions. Even the hotter sauces were pretty mild to my taste
This was by far the best birria I have ever eaten! I would love to sit at their home table, but I'm not sure if real home cooked would...
Read moreI decided to give this place a try because I keep seeing a lot of mixed reviews. I called in my order to pick up for take out. When I called and tried to order, the phone was very glitchy and kept cutting out. I wasn't sure if the hostess got my order because the phone cut off. I got there a few minutes later and luckily she did hear my order and had it ready for me.
I ordered the 3 carne asada tacos with rice & beans. It also came with chips & plenty of salsas.
The chips were hot & fresh and perfect!!! I love all the salsa. There was a bean dip, a salsa roja, a salsa Verde and a creamy salsa Verde that tasted like Poblano maybe? Not sure but that one was my favorite but It was also the most spicy if you like spicy. the salsa roja wasnt too spicy, my 4 yeae old loved it that was her favorite. Honestly, the chips & all the salsas were the best part of the meal to me 🤣
The rice and beans were good, no complaints but nothing special.
The tacos were good but the asada could use more seasoning, it was a little bland.
Overall, it was great and I plan to go back & dine in next time. Check this place out if...
Read moreDelicious!! This place was so yummy. I got the fajitas for one, and it was a huge portion of veggies and chicken, not overcooked at all and the seasoning was perfect! Other restaurants in the area have the weirdest seasoning on their chicken fajitas (a lot of them end up tasting like shrimp or seafood) so it was amazing finding a place that actually tastes delicious around here. We haven’t found a good mexican restaurant since we moved here about 7 years ago. The salsa is really sweet but you can tell it’s made fresh instead of canned. The rice was so fluffy and fresh. The beans are a bit spicy just fyi for kids. Our waitress was so sweet. We went around 5:30 on a Friday just before it started getting busy. We liked how the food didn’t come out like five minutes after ordering. Sometimes it’s just nice to sit and enjoy the chips and dips instead of being rushed by food coming out too fast like how a lot of other mexican restaurants tend to do. highly recommend and can’t...
