As long as you wait for your server to seat you, there is no need to sit at a dirty table. If you chose to sit at a dirty table then you did your own thing, you could have easily waited at one of the seats right there when you walk through the front door where a clear sign says "Please wait to be seated" or the sign RIGHT above the register when you walk in that says "place orders here" Servers ask you within the first minute you walk in, "welcome to wafflehouse, will you be ordering here or togo?" If your patient and the store is full then your server will get the area cleaned as soon as possible. How can they know whose even serving you if your sitting at a dirty table. I advise anyone who walks into ANY restaurant to wait to be seated instead of CHOOSING to sit down with other people's dirty plates who probably JUST walked out the door when you came in. Each server is different but from years of experience? Closed mouths don't get fed. When you walk in ask any server or cook or manager where can we sit and someone answers. Soooo best advice? Your not the king or queen of England, if so wafflehouse will never be for you. Only the working class who actually understand standing on your feet for ten hours hoping you'll make minimum wage. Especially when no one tips when they DO do a good job. To all those who know exactly what I mean is nodding right now. Anyone that's ever walked right in and sat at a dirty table? Hey, life is full of choices. Understandably every store and worker is different, sometimes you have bad experiences. It depends on your attitudes, choices and words that will 99% of the time determine what kind of...
Read moreI normally dont leave bad reviews, however the greeting I received Friday, December 30th was less than to be desired. Normally when you walk into any restaurant, you receive a warm friendly greeting. That was not the case Friday afternoon.
No one welcomed me. There was a 2 top and 1 elderly gentlan in the restaurant when I arrived. The staff was seated in the corner counting out their shift talleys for the manager. 1 lady asked if I needed something. I told her why I was there. Her response... She wasn't enthusiastic I was there and replied... I'll be with you shortly. She continued her talley count and went into the back for 10 minutes. She came back out and did a few more things for another 10 minutes, and had to ask a waitress to empty the dirty mop water.
Only 1 server was busy serving both tables and smiled. After a 20 minute wait I was finally attended too.
I get it that it was shift change, and they were turning in their talleys, but no one seemed thrilled to be there. The environment wasn't friendly.
The stainless steel was filthy and the floor underneath the cook station looked as if it hadnt been degreased in months. The grill top was dirty and barely scraped, and there was an clear plastic bin of fresh eggs sitting above the cook station. Thats a huge no no, a health code violation and could make someone extremely sick from not keeping eggs refrigerated!
As a potential customer, I would not eat there, nor would I work at this particular location due to lack of cleanliness and lack of...
Read moreI have never been so disappointed in this waffle house. When we came in and sat down at our table they started debating on you was going to serve us. SMH as we sat here waiting on our food for the longest time mind you this place wasn't busy at all and I know busy we had to ask for everything we needed. No napkins in any of there Despenser and yes I've looked at all the tables around me. One lady cleaned her own table for her an her family and when we got our food the waffle was hollow and coming apart my grits and eggs was lukewarm because she was only using one waffle cooker to make each waffle. As I sit here now there is only 8 people total sitting here that's been served. What in the world is happening at these restaurants. Prices of food continue to rise and service is getting sorry. If and when the table is turned they would want the same service my family and myself was expecting. These businesses need to get...
