For much time now I have been a big fan of sonic. I was with my family and my boyfriend and decided to get some shakes for their half off special they have. We pulled up and had separate orders so my boyfriend and I ordered from in the car and my cousin and sister went to the walk up kiosk. We waited for 15 minutes! While we were waiting we saw three employees inside cleaning the restaurant. They never once told us any type of news of them being closed. One employee even made eye contact with my cousin and then continued to laugh. It was not only us waiting for a very long time but there were several cars waiting to get their order taken. Since it was 30 minutes until close we finally decided to ask what was going on. They told us they had to close early. I spoke to the general manager and let her know about how long we had been waiting and all she had to tell me was, “ you should’ve known since the lights are off.” While that is true lights were off in some places, but there were still lights on at the store. Working in the service industry for many years I know that there are circumstances for the store should close early and that is not the problem I found with this. It’s a fact that they continued to clean the store and even laughed at my cousin instead of letting us know that they had to close early. If I could give them zero stars I would but unfortunately google only allows me to give them one star. For now on I will drive the extra miles to a different sonic because I will not continue to go...
Read moreToday around 12pm my son and I went for lunch. Went through the drive thru which i normally do. Spoke to a lady and asked to give me a minute. She replied and said no problem let me know when your ready or have questions. A couple of minutes pass i said hello we're ready to order. I got no response! Trying for close to 10 minutes hollering at the post trying to get attention, my son says go to a parking space so i did. Wait a minute or 2 finally some one sa says hello and i tell them i was just in the drive thru and no one came back to take my order. He goes im sorry we are having to reboot our system it will be about 20 minutes. I said seriously i was in the drive thru for a total time of about 15 minutes and no one said a word. Annoyed i left. My husband decided this evening he wanted sonic for dinner so i said fine, still annoyed with the afternoon and telling him the event. We arrive at between 7 or 8 this evening. Again going thru the drive thru a man gets on the speaker and says sorry we can not take orders tonight we have a gas leak somewhere, (wouldn't a fire department or something be there if there was a gas leak?) Now normally i have amazing service here, but today it felt as if no one wanted to work all day and it was an excuse. Very disappointed and felt it was very rude that i waiting in the drive thru for so long, if they couldnt hear me or speak to me they should have just come out to the speaker and talked to me that way along with the other 2...
Read moreI actually enjoy Sonic, when I dont have an issue... they have good burgers & other option for fast food and their shakes and slushies are yummy! But I ALWAYS have aproblem going to a Sonic but specifically the one on 96th & Federal. The system is always down, or they can only take cash, they're out of ice cream (what?) or they just mess up the order. So I just attempted to go through the drive thru around 11pm as the hours show open until 12am. As I pulled around to the drive thru speaker there were other cars that had just passed through the drive thru & I witnessed one of the employees preparing a slush yet when I pulled up to the speaker I waited for about 3 minutes... to no answer. So I called out, "hello?" and still nothing. So I attempted to call by phone and again no answer. By this time there are more cars behind me.... so I pull up to the window to see one employee just sitting on a counter and the other just standing there. The employee standing there comes to the window, I ask "Are you open?" and he replies "Our system is down." So I told him "well the least you can do is answer the phone or tell that to the customers through the intercom." and left. Can I first say how freakin convenient is it that is was down in the last hour to closing AND right after they finished serving other customers 30 seconds prior! And second, I think I just give up and Sonic has just lost...
