I was hoping this restaurant was going to be a great late night spot to add to the rotation, but I was very disappointed. It was a smaller restaurant that looked looked like it needed some TLC. The tables and chairs need a good cleaning. The napkin dispenser on our table had food drippings & splatter from previous customers and never cleaned. We were seated promptly and given water and utensils. We waited almost 20 mins. for the side dishes to be brought to the table, which is a pretty long time considering we were 1 of only 2 tables in the restaurant at that time. The waitress serving the side dishes didn’t have the best customer service. She wasn’t personable at all. She didn’t interact with our table or notice that 2 out of 4 of us needed water refills. When our order was finally brought out, the food wasn’t totally was we expected. I wouldn’t say that it was “bad”, but not as it should be. The spicy pork was served on a cast iron platter, which should be hot to the touch and sizzling to cook the raw onions the pork was placed on. That wasn’t the case. The pork was barely warm and it tasted like room temperature pork on raw onions. One of my friends ordered the Spam fried rice. It was a pretty small portion for the price and had more large pieces of onions in it than anything else. The kimchee pancake was finally brought to the table about 15 mins after the rest of our food arrived. It was a good portion size, but very soft and soggy in the middle. Very disappointing. Lastly…the icing on the cake so to speak, was when I finally received water for our refills. Mind you, we haven’t had water refilled since needing it when we were first seated before ordering (over an hour). We were brought a little cantina of water for the table. When proceeding to pour myself a glass, I noticed the lid of the cantina was dirty around the opening and in the hinge area of the flip cover. I thought maybe the plastic was just stained..nope. After wiping the scum that looked like mold off of the plastic lid. I was disgusted and appalled & lost whatever appetite I had left. I was done.
Needless to say, that was our first and last visit to this restaurant. If that is what the customers are being served…I can only IMAGINE what the kitchen looks like where our actual food is being prepared!!
Be warned, if you decide to dine here…I would highly suggest you...
Read moreI was craving ramen today but most of them had pork or closed at 12am so this was my 4th place to look if they have soup, no pork, and noodles. It took me 30min drive and it was WORTH IT.
The food was delicious, flavorful and spicy just like how I like it. Maybe would love it more if it had more spice but I’m fine with cuz it was delicious. Usually I’m picky so I don’t eat some veggies and tofu but tell me why I ate it? It was that delicious the mushroom where crunchy, tofu flavored, shrimp was good, 🦀🦪 maybe there was octopus too? The only con for me was the noodles were kinda overcooked or maybe they were cooked while I was driving? All I know is that it was DELICIOUS. Just go order it. also the service was really nice they were cute and helpful. I ordered takeout as it was like 1:05am I believe they close 2am or 1:50am.
The only issue I had was it’s too far from me 😭thank you cheif...
Read moreWe went here with some friends one night since our friend said the spicy noodle soup was really good. The side dishes were pretty good nothing incredible or better than other Korean restaurants I've been to. We ordered the cheese dukbokki, jjampong, and seafood pancake.
Cheese dukbokki was alright, I didn't care for it personally, the cheese didn't taste anything special to me but wasn't bad and had good texture.
Jjampong was good, spicy and had a lot of seafood, but the noodles were pretty average and didn't stand out to me.
The best dish we had was the seafood pancake, with the sweet soy sauce poured on it, it was really good and everyone's favorite. It came with a lot of meat and fillings.
Service was ok, took us awhile to get refills on tea but got served quickly after ordering.
TLDR: Not the best Korean spot and not the worst, best thing we had was seafood pancake highly...
