Oh how I wish this place was closer to Seattle. I literally drove about 50min, just so i could get their giant kimchi mandoo!!!
This place is awesome. I've never had korean dumplings before, so when my friend brought me here, i was EXCITED. What's even more interesting is that they don't serve tea, they serve bone broth. I liked their broth, it could be kind of peppery or sometimes spicy, but it's good.
What we got: Pork dumplings - typical pork dumplings, but more flatter and also had way more black pepper than I am used to in chinese dumplings. You get 5 of the dumplings, and tbh, you could totally get full off of this. Kimchi Mandoo - i highly recommend getting their Kimchi Mandoo over their pork and black rice one. This one is the best. It had a great balance of spicy, savoriness and of course deliciousness. It's so big that you could eat one for lunch and be satisfied! Oh yeah, put your hand next to it and take that pic! Seafood noodle soup - this was okay. It was good, but nothing too special about it. The broth wasn't too fishy, which was good for me and there were a good amount of clams inside of it. :)
This place is so budget friendly! When we got 1 fried dumpling, 3 mandoo and a noodle, it was all under $30.
There were at times where the server was too busy to pay attention to us, but it's probably good to mention that she was the only one waiting tables.
Note: It's fun to watch the mandoo makers behind...
Read moreFirst visit today, which will be also my Last visit! I have drived 2 hours to visit this place. Walked in and ordered 10 dumplings to go (plus 5 Jjinpang,too)- the lady behind the counter was staring at me with the corner of her eyes, posing an Interrogative Attitude, saying "You must be in the same group with that lady at the door, so I cannot sell you the dumplings!" Excuse me? What a weird and Paranoid attitude! Why she was tying me up with a Total Stranger at the door? I have no idea... I had to explain and Convince her that I have Nothing to do with that stranger she was talking about. So I managed to get the "so-famous" dumplings. To my disappointment, the taste was not up to its name. It is Just a Plain, Regular dumpling-Not worthy at all to withstand such a Paranoid and Mean service (same with Jjinpang-not better than the frozen ones sold in Hmart). I dont understand why this place is so over-rated. Not going...
Read moreFirst time here. My niece wanted to try cold noodles. Decided to come here because their menu was simple and guaranteed to have cold noodles. Limited seating indoors about 5 or 6 4person table. Plenty of parking. 4 different types of soups on their menu plus fried mandoo and their king size dumplings. Everything we had here was delicious and filling! Cold noodles dish was so refreshing since it was a little warm out that day. I had the seafood noodle soup. Worth it and had plenty of clams, squid slices and a couple head-on shrimp. My husband had the dumpling soup with their homemade dumplings. We did want to try their king size steam dumplings and those are a meal in itself. We had the pork and pork with kimchi. The bread was thin, but still held the filling together. Their steam dumplings had so much filling its worth the $3. We are definitely...
