Emerald City Smoothie — Restaurant in Federal Way

Unfortunately this place is really hit or miss depends on whose working. I love to go here when certain people are working but I've had some really bad experiences when other people are working. Luckily I did write in and the owner got back to, I think within 24 hours maybe less, and she replaced the smoothies that were horrible and I really appreciate that. But I can't give it five stars because it made me feel put out and irritated that I had to even deal with that in the first place. If that had been my first experience at Emerald City Smoothie there's no way I would have ever come back. But because I try to give people a second chance I decided to give them a second chance and they're not so bad. One thing that I would have to say is that the smoothies aren't actually healthy unfortunately so this isn't exactly like a healthy place to go, it's more of a treat. And I also have to say that every single Emerald City Smoothie is different!!! The one in Kent is a nightmare! Apparently they use syrups with artificial dyes and them in their smoothies. And then they charge like $7 for that poison. I think the prices at all of the locations are on the high side and the mondo is too small. The last time I had a smoothie at the Kent location I was in such a bad flare-up for 2 days I couldn't even get out of bed because I'm really allergic to red 40; an artificial dye that is in a ton of foods that the FDA still hasn't disapproved yet... mind you it has been outlawed in new zeland as well as many European countries, because it's a poisonous petroleum based product that irritates the human body. There really aren't any healthy places to go if you want a healthy smoothie I recommend making one at home or maybe going to Marlene's. If there is going to be a company that is called one thing "Emerald City Smoothie" I believe that they should be consistent across the board in every single store and the fact that they aren't just really messes with people. Like why the hell do they have different recipes in different stores? The consumer wants...

Well, I generally go to the one in Tacoma, yes Tacoma and I get excellent service so excellent that the young lady knows my order down. So I had decided to stop at this location today.
