Recently we attempted to place an order for pick-up. We were really looking forward to it since we have not eaten there since the pandemic started. My sister inquired if we could get an appetizer from the regular menu. We were told we had to order from the take-out menu. My sister asked if I wanted to get on the phone with the order taker. The order taker told my sister that she did not have time for that. I told my sister to order another item on the take-out menu. My sister did not pronounce the name of the dish correctly that I had selected, and the order taker stated "we don't have that" followed up by, "Do you mean...and stated the name of the dish. Next, my sister confirmed that my mother wanted the Ravioli with spinach. The order taker stated, "Are you talking to me". My sister was about to ask if there were onions when the order taker stated, "Call back when you know what you want". She never answered my sister's question as to whether it had onions. When we called the manager to complain about her attitude, he did state that he was sorry but continued to state that the directions were clear that you had to know what you wanted and to have your credit card ready. He stated she was the only order taker and was very busy. People do have questions about the way food is prepared and when restaurants have multiple menus you should be able to ask if you can order an item off the regular menu. This order taker was rude and the manager nullified his apology when he started to make excuses as to why she responded that way. Due to his excuses, I decided to order from Ciao. The order taker was professional and we enjoyed our food. It was not our fault that we had two questions, in fact we discussed in advance what we wanted to order. We will not be ordering from Andiamo again. They are obviously satisfied with the number of customers they have and do not want to add the correct number of order takers to ensure they have some time to answer questions on the phone. It is a shame. We chose take-out due to previous dinners where it took 2 hours to eat our food. I thought a restaurant like this would have more respect for their customers. I think they are arrogant. There are plenty of places to eat and we will not miss the rude service. They...
Read moreMy family and I have eaten here a few times but this will be our last. It's okay when food is not cooked properly, it happens. However, the reaction and results we're done poorly. I ordered their 8 oz fillet, (the size of a hockey puck) and two shrimp to be added for $71.00. The price was fine. The steak was ordered medium (half pink) . It came to the table more than well done. Again, these things can happen. After our dinner was served, 20 minutes later, the server came back and said you didn't eat much. Do you need a box? I said, I didn't eat it because my steak was over cooked and ruined. I showed her the center of the meat all dark and dry. She apologized, which wasn't necessary. She asked if I needed anything else. I said no, my wife has finished dinner but we will have dessert. The only thing I had for dinner was the soup I paid for and this dessert. When the bill came there was a bill for $71 for the steak and two pieces of shrimp. I said are you charging me for the food that was smoked beyond recognition? She said yes, you ate the two pieces of shrimp. I said I'll gladly pay you for the two pieces of shrimp. She said we didn't charge you for the dessert. We felt that made up for your ruined steak. I mentioned, do I really have to suggest to just charge me for two pieces of shrimp and my dessert and to take off the cost of the ruined meal served to me? She said she would go ask the manager if she could take it off the bill. We sat there for 10 minutes as the waitress came back to say I love my manager...She took it off the bill. Really? We had to sit there and wait to pay for our ruined meal for your manager to make a decision on if they should charge me for a meal they destroyed? And let's not forget the classless managers actions on 7-28-2023. The manager Never cared and never came to the table to talk to us. Learned something tonight...not to return,...

We dined at Andiamo in Fenton this evening hoping for a special summer date night on the patio. What we got instead was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in years.
From the moment we were seated, our waitress had a bizarre and off-putting attitude. She was short, unfriendly, and seemed completely uninterested in giving us any level of decent service. My husband originally ordered the prime New York strip, which we were told was unavailable. He then asked for the chicken marsala, but the waitress pushed a non-prime cut of New York strip instead. That steak turned out to be a complete disappointment—overcooked, tough, flavorless, and under-seasoned. When we addressed the issue, the waitress dismissively asked, “Well, what do you want me to do about it?”
Seriously?
He asked for a correctly cooked steak (medium-rare), and while the second attempt came out closer to rare, he accepted it just to avoid further confrontation. It was still tough, stringy, and barely edible. The only halfway decent part was the blue cheese brulee on top—but that couldn’t save it. His asparagus? Burnt to a crisp.
To top it all off, we were one of the last reservations of the night, and it felt very clear the staff wanted us gone. Another employee even gave us odd, borderline hostile looks through the patio windows. Between that, the rushed service, and the general attitude, it was obvious our presence was an inconvenience.
The drinks were good, but at that point, the alcohol felt more like a coping mechanism than a complement to the meal.
Andiamo bills itself as a fine dining experience. Tonight, it didn’t even meet the standards of a mid-tier chain restaurant—I've had more attentive service and better food at Applebee’s. What a disappointment. We won’t be returning, and we’ll be telling others to steer...
