I have been a Bigby patron since they were called Beaners... I will no longer go to Bigby fenton. In the last week I have had 3 poor experiences.... My experience goes as follows
On 12/23 my boyfriend came into the store to buy me a mug and a gift card, his description of the experience was "why doesn't anyone want to take my money and sell me something" while he was there he wasn't greeted or helped. Basically he was just ignored... He did buy a mug and a 25.00 gift card, he was not offered a cup of coffee (for buying the mug) or the "spend 25 get 25 promotion that Bigby is currently running.
On 12/26 I returned with my shiny new mug and my gift card. The mug still had the papers inside it it was so new. I was not offered the free cup of coffee and when i went to pay with my gift card they told me it had $0.00 on it. Probably should also mention I handed them my frequency card that had several cups already on it, so they knew i was a pretty frequent customer. NO ONE apologized or offered any solutions other then to return with my receipt. I paid with cash and left.
On 12/27 I returned to Bigby with my boyfriend, my receipt and my new mug in tow. After presenting the receipt they explained that there was nothing they could do about my gift card, NO ONE APOLOGIZED or even offered to sell me a drink. I was told that I could return the following day (Saturday 12/28) when the owner would be present, that maybe he could do something.
At this point my boyfriend ask about the free cup of coffee one gets for buying a new bigby mug, they agreed that they did do that but I couldn't have one. He then ask about the "buy 25 get 25 promotion" as he had a receipt for nearly 50.00 in his hand from 12/23... He was told that it was a coupon booklet and he also wouldn't be getting one of those but we could return when the owner was there and maybe he could do something about my gift card.
In the end what i really wanted was a cup of coffee, again no one offered to sell me one or give me one for my troubles.
Im just really annoyed that this happened. I should have ask for the Starbucks January Latte mug instead, as when Starbucks messes stuff up they are ALWAYS right on top of fixing it.
Bigby fenton has lazy employees who just really aren't interested in providing a 5 star service regardless of the 5 star price that they charge.

The staff is mostly friendly, but the General Manager is not friendly. She comes across brash stressed and annoyed. I imagine many of the issues in this store are rooted in her or maybe the pressure that she feels.
This Bigby charges for water. Again, I come in multiple times throughout the week, and every time I make at least one purchase. Charging for water is annoying as it is, but to charge a loyal customer who is spending money often seems counter intuitive to me.
The staff is trained to push product when a customer is ordering which I understand - at the same time it gets old, is annoying and glib.
I had an experience when getting my one free coffee refill where I was confronted by a barista who mistakenly believed that all refills cost $1.50. An easy mistake for a rehire not up to date on Bigby’s policies. It’s not his mistake that is annoying it’s the general air that is inherent in this location.
These infractions are minor, but it’s the principle behind them that frustrate me. It’s apparent that this location is being run to make money at all cost even at the expense of a loyal customer. Read moreCame in with my girlfriend and our 7 yeae old daughter. We received Poor service, and poor food. Ordered two blood moons, two chorizo bagel sandwiches, and one turkey harvati sandwich. Came to $30 plus $3 tip so not cheap. Baristas seemed passive aggressive, non chalant and uninterested in being there.
Both drinks tasted like the Barista over pumped them with syrup. It was not good, tasted very syrupy and sweet. The sandwiches were made right atleast but they were basic.. nothing spectacular.
I was actually disappointed in the new menu item called the chorizo bagel sandwich. Meat was very thin and it didn't taste that good. Sandwich did not look like the picture that was posted up in restaurant. In the picture meat looked bigger and more flavorful.
I'm not sure if the workers had a problem with us but we are always very friendly, easy going, and never rude. I even gave them a tip and they still made our drinks wrong. Didn't even say your welcome after I said thank you.
They should hire new workers who atleast have good customer service skills, who can make a drink right and are atleast interested in being there.
4/10 would not recommend. I will not be back since I did not feel...
