Marzoni’s Brick Oven & Brewing Co. — Restaurant in Ferguson Township

Well I’ve eaten at Marzoni’s a lot in the Altoona area and have never had a bad meal.with that said, Family took dad out for his birthday to the state college Marzoni’s and it was awful!!!!!! The waitress took our order, some drinks came some didn’t one side of the table received their appetizer my sides appetizers never showed up,over an hr later dinners came out here and there 3 crab cake dinners all were cold in the center, one had no sides.the Cajun pasta dinner with shrimp must have been cooked 1st and sat under the heat lamp, shrimp was dried out and cheese was hard and dry, would’ve sent all back but getting the attention of our waitress was impossible even to get water refilled. Waitress did comp a few deserts and that took another 1/2 hr to receive.total time for this meal was over 3hrs. On top of that we asked 2 different employees to please turn the AC down which was probably over their skill set and never happened, so cold that jackets/blankets had to be brought in from the cars. This was a totally unacceptable diner experience the whole staff needs retrained including the manager. This never would’ve happened at the Altoona location so...

Last night's dinner On 01/24/2024. The Pub side of the restaurant is very cold All the patrons had there jackets over their shoulders. Service was less than mediocre. I asked for a beer before my meal and it took 10 minutes.just to get it . When I asked for a second beer as our meals were served i waited 10 minutes and no beer So I went to the bar to ask for my second beer . The waitress came out and said she had taken care of ordering it so I sat back down and finished meal without the beer . After finishing the meal and waiting an additional 10 minutes I went up to the Bar and asked the Bar tender for the beer maybe figuring that the waitress had forgotten or got busy. The bartender had asked me if I had given my beer order to my waitress and I had told her Yes I had. She rudely scolded me in front of the entire bar and said she had so mamy drinks to make and I had to just wait for my beer. I was very embarrassed. Here I was trying to be nice and helpful and I got yelled at. The meal seemed to be processed food and not made fresh.

I give this place 11 months. Before they closes the way there going. Thoroughly...

Got a gift card for Christmas so we thought we would use it and give this location a try. The other two locations they have around us are very good but evidently this being in a college town it's different. Our friends Mill she got some kind of stuffed pasta with cheese in it. There was so much cheese and it was so rich. She couldn't eat it. She told the waitress and they comped her meal and gave her a to-go meal. Our waitress. I don't think she really had much of a clue what to do. We had to hand her the dirty dishes to take them off the table. My wife ordered stuffed shelves and a salad. She brought our meals and I asked about the salad. Oh I'll get it now. I had spaghetti and meatballs. It was okay. Sauce was kind of bitter. The only good thing was this the zucchini. It was delicious. Overall, I don't believe we'll be going back not to this location. However, the one in greenwood and the one in duncansville are fantastic. Wife got coffee.
