Steak ’n Shake — Restaurant in Ferguson

Sorry for my long review lol. Horrible this is not the first time I have been to this Steak N Shake. I have given it multiple chances because it is by my house. Every time I go they get my order wrong.. This time I went with my parents and we had a young lady who seemed to still be in high school waiting on us. Personally, she was very nice. However, she took our drink order and did not come back for about 30 mins. I asked another server to get her. She might have been making more coffee but that would have been lovely to know. Finally, she took our order and the same thing it took forever to come. We were there for about 50 mins before we got our food. The whole time she was back there talking. All of her customers were requesting to get their orders to go because they were not getting theirs either. She finally brought our order and all of our food was wrong. My order was cold obviously. It had the wrong cheese and was missing onions and tomatoes and the cajun season fries looked like they emptied a whole bottle of seasoning on my fries. My mom wanted a cup of chili. They brought her a bowl which would have been more in cost and my dad asked for a bowl of chili and never received it. The thing that got me is maybe she was new even though she got all of our orders wrong I didn't hold that against her. However, she wrote our order down and she started blaming it on everyone else saying I told the other waiter you had chili and he said no you did not. How can you say that if you wrote it down? You were our waitress, not that gentleman. So what you say is what goes. Plus there was a manager there that was doing absolutely nothing. Until I pretty much took back all of our orders. I understood how she was getting away with what she was doing because he charged the wrong customer more for their meal because he accidentally charged them our price. Plus he was talking about her pretty bad saying we shouldn't give her a tip and telling us how she never got any of her tips out of the computer. Trying to talk about her service and skill well manager why does she work there then. That is a reflection of you and how you run the operations. Instead, tell us not to give her a tip why don't you give her a tip by training her properly or let her go. Even though I hope it doesn't come to that. I would hate to see that young lady lose her job but be a manager and do something. The whole thing was a mess from her talking instead of waiting on her 3 tables, getting our order wrong, blaming it on someone else and the manager not being able to facilitate. Showed me that instead of me going there late night every once in a while. I just need to go home. That was a horrible experience and one I don't plan to have again at this...

Visited Steak and Shake today dined in... first we had to feed ourselves so I grabbed us menus and placemats because there were no placemats menus silverware nothing was on the table . We ordered two 4 for 4 orders. We Waited an hour for our food and mine was incorrect. I asked to speak to a manager who told the waitress that she could not speak to me so I insist it that the manager come out and talk to me since I've waited over and hour for wrong food. When the manager came out and spoke to me she reaches my order made them remake it brought it to me and it was still wrong and when I called her on it she brought back what was missing and then I asked her to take this awesome my bills because after waiting over an hour for wrong food and it come back twice long I didn't see I should pay for it considering its only $4. She said that she would not take it off the bills that she could only discount it and I told her I would not eat this food she could take it back I did not want to recharge for and I'm not going to eat it and literally this food is going to sit on the table because I wish used to eat it. I will never eat it too Steak and Shake again because the management has no concern for its customers. Customer service it this location is completely nonexistent. The entire restaurant only have one waitress waiting tables and she's about in her sixties or seventies with arthritis so you can imagine it's a service is going to be...

This place has gone down,poor management, and poor staff on yesterday i went in to the front register to place my order,first no greeting,second the young man receive my money,and just gave my change to me,no counting my change back or nothing,i guess they dont train them to tell them how much change to get back nevertheless,the young man had no care to ask me,what kind of drink i wanted as he continued to take the next order behind me,i informed him that i wanted a root beer with it and he said ok.i placed my order at 7.56pm and did not receive it till 8.15pm, i am very patient,but when i notice that the server deleted my order off the screen alone with four others,it sent me a additional red flag.i worked at a restaurant when i was young so this method that the young man did is supposed to save them on there order time,after all this i finally saw a what appeared to be a manager come from the back.my sandwich was burned and about time i got home,i didn't want to come back,this team that they have a the evening shiff sucks and no professional person in sight,stay away,i hate where the restaurants are going,straight to the trash,steak in shake is suppose to be a better quality then the other's,i hate to say young people that carry this attitude along with management that dose not care about customer time or quality will lose everytime,please stay away from here...
