The Brew Shed — Restaurant in Fernandina Beach

We were visiting the island on Labor Day weekend and wanted a chill, less-touristy spot to relax after dinner. The staff was awesome and super friendly and the drink prices were much better than the bars on the island. We tried several different drafts including a mead that was delicious! Since I was the driver for the evening, the owner, Bruce, recommended a sparkling hop water. It was light and refreshing. I normally don't like sparkling water but this had a nice taste and I really enjoyed it. We ended up being the last people to leave. Lol! I've homebrewed in several cities and purchased ingredients from at least a dozen stores. What sets the Brew Shed apart from every other store I've patronized is the atmosphere and the staff. Anyone can stock up on grains, hops, and additives to sell, but it takes a special kind of business to create a place where you want to sit and have a beer to talk shop after you get what you came for. Service was great, very personable. Spoke with the owner working the front. Easy going and overall great atmosphere. Great beer and fair pricing.

Weirdly enough, there’s a cook in the back from Maine… they have very good Lobster Rolls. Also, try the Reaper Pickles. We had to grab some for the house.
