Expect to drop some serious coin on skimpy portions. I really have a hard time to rate a place this poorly - it had all the makings of a 5 star establishment - because the food is phenomenal- just ridiculously undersized for the price. The (internal) reviews here are misleading when stating generous portions etc. A soup, salad and beverage had me well over $20 to start. Rice, noodle, and literally SIDE dishes pushed the bill over 35. Still hadn't ordered the main dish, which was another $22 (plus tax and tip would've been about $70.00) for one person. Which is outrageous. You'll be hard pressed to get a decent sized meal without breaking fifty or hundred dollars - the food here is truly outstanding, minus the stingy portion sizes. I left a fair tip, however if it were proportional to the size of my overpriced food - the tip would have been exponentially smaller. * I spoke to a local - same story- except a year and a half prior - "nice couple- owner and wife is the chef..yada yada" so I knew we were talking about the same place, except in her visit - where she would normally order Thai hot, one time, they put way too much spice. She couldn't eat it and the owner wouldn't take the dish back, told her it was clearly stated in the menu "not responsible for too spicy or if you can't eat it". Completely understandable if it's someone's first time ordering. But the cook put too much spice, and made it unfit for consumption for someone who regularly ate spicy off this menu. still the dish was refused.. On my visit, they flat out forgot to put any spice on my dish, and I asked for Thai hot as well. They fixed mine because you can always add spice, just not subtract. Longest review I've written - concluding with 3 stars - citing primarily portion sizes, cost, too spicy/not spicy enough, and suspect for internal reviews.

Response to the waiter, who tried to throw me out of the restaurant: you didn’t read my comment because I told you that there is no such thing as a license for a service dog. Please read the attached LAW that comes from the government. I didn’t make this up - your restaurant, and you should know the rules. You harassed me, and I already deal with many disabilities, you’re lucky to be in this country and not have had to go to war so stop harassing us. The waiter was extremely rude and he gave me a hard time about bringing my service dog into the restaurant which is completely legal. It may be very uncomfortable so I won’t be back. The food is very expensive and it’s not worth the price. TO THE WAITER: I didn’t supply any documentation because if you would read the federal disabilities act law, it does not require any documentation. If you would simply read the law, you might follow the rules and you won’t turn off customers. I didn’t see you in Afghanistan, so don’t complain about my service dog and you should find out the rules first, because you are not allowed to harass somebody with the service animal and there is no such thing as a service animal certificate from the government. All you have to do is read the law you are wrong and if I had complained about you to the government and they’d followed up with it you could’ve been charged $75,000 for the first offense of harassinga severely disabled person. Grow up and do your homework properly.

I got the summer fresh rolls with tofu. They were super fresh and I love when they place some Thai basil in the roll like they do. They peanut sauce seemed a bit on the sweet side for my taste but certainly not bad... Next the main dish, my favorite paste to order at any Thai restaurant is Green Curry. This did not disappoint, I am a vegan, so I got it with steamed tofu and hot. I never know how hot things are going to be so I shied away from thai hot. I probably could have gone with Thai hot, but the heat from hot was fine and the vegetables were perfectly cooked, not soggy and still firm texture how it should be! All in all of I lived here I would definitely come again!

I have eaten there 2 times in the past 15 months as I have family that lives nearby. I was extremely disappointed the first time, but hoped it was just an off day for them and tried again as my in-laws know I love Thai food. My mistake. I love Tom Kha soup for it's natural hint of sweetness and the brightness of the lime leaves. Had it on both visits and it was sickeningly sweet. Almost as if they'd used sweetened coconut milk or added a several tablespoons of sugar?! I have never had such a sweet and quite frankly, gross, Tom Kha soup. I also ordered vegetarian Pad Thai. It was basically a hard, super oily clump of stuck together noodles, 4 small cubes of tofu, no vegetables and a teaspoon of peanut powder on the corner of the plate. I could not separate a single rice noodle, just one big clump, dripping with oil, no flavor and entirely inedible. How can you call yourself a Thai restaurant and not even be able to make a basic Pad Thai? The prices are outrageous, especially for inedible soup and entrees. The waitress noticed I did not/could not eat my food. Never bothered to ask why. Although the server was friendly (that's the one positive thing I can say) we felt very rushed and even had our entrees dumped onto the table within 4 mins of receiving soup and appetizers. There wasn't even room on the table, but she just shoved everything around to make it fit, instead of waiting until apps and soups were finished. The restaurant wasn't crowded and they weren't even closing soon. At those prices, one would expect much more etiquette. Been duped twice. Granted, going a second time was my mistake, but it's one I will...
