Kitty's Cheesecakes & More — Restaurant in Ferndale

First time customer! I called a few days in advance to place my order since I wasn’t 100% sure how their order system worked. I’m assuming I spoke with the owner on the phone and she was so sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. She was able to get me exactly what I wanted and for the perfect price! When I arrived to pick up my order I ended up being a bit early, but still everyone working was so incredibly warm and friendly! The owner gave me some wonderful specific instructions to keep the cheesecake good since I ended being early! Obviously we all know why you’d go here....The cheesecake. It tastes so amazing, never had cheese cake this good before! I got my boss and my husband each an entire raspberry swirl cheesecake for their birthday’s since their birthdays are only a few days apart, kill two birds with one stone situation. I also got just a slice of the peanut butter cup and they are ALL amazing! Seriously, now I’m in love with this place! So many benefits to this little shop, it’s a local business, everyone I interacted with was so sweet and friendly, all the cheesecakes looked amazing, and the two cheesecakes I personally got were amazing! Thank you so much, I will definitely be back for...

Update: they do put cheesecake in the freezer I was under the impression it was all fresh, when I made a purchase today I was told it was not ready to eat and it was frozen. Also you should not call to order slices even though they have them on the website, I was told we don't normally take orders for slices. I found a piece of metal in a slice today, almost broke my tooth. I placed an order for a full cheesecake and now I'm worried about eating it. The metal I found looks shiny on one side like fatigue broke it off.

Original: The menu is so huge I can't wait to find time to try one of everything! The difficulty is that each cheesecake is made fresh so you should call to make sure what you want is available (before online ordering). From what I was told they do not keep frozen cheesecakes on standby so if you really want a certain flavor you should call ahead and place an order. I tried the plain cheesecake as a baseline and it was by far the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. The quality here is so much better than what you normally see, if only there was a word that better described their level of greatness....

My mother-in-law is not a huge fan of cakes, and her birthday was coming up. We wanted something to have at her birthday party which would add to the birthday celebrations and that she would love.

After spending some time doing research on the best cheesecakes in Detroit, I came across Kitty’s Cheesecakes… And was immediately drawn to the Sweet Potato Cheesecake. They have lots of amazing flavours to choose from, with beautiful colour options to match - yet and still, the Sweet Potato was what I was most drawn to.

I made the order over the phone early in the week, which was super easy & we were given very clear instructions on when we could pick-up the cheesecake on the Saturday!

Our entire family could not have been happier with the cheesecake! It was soooooo incredibly delicious. The base had the perfect crunch and you could tell that it was freshly made and most importantly - made with love.

Next time I’m in Detroit, I would love to try more of the options that they have with cakes as well as cheesecakes!!
