I am deeply disturbed by the actions of Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters and their continued support for harmful, misleading propaganda. Recently, I visited one of their locations and noticed Palestinian stickers displayed prominently on the register. These stickers accuse Israel of genocide and apartheid, spreading lies and misinformation that only serve to inflame division and hatred.
I took it upon myself to address this issue directly with the CEO of the company. During our conversation, I explained in clear terms how damaging and divisive such materials can be, especially in a business setting where people from all backgrounds come to enjoy a neutral, welcoming environment. The CEO admitted he was unaware of these stickers being placed in his store, yet he expressed reluctance to remove them. His reasoning? The potential backlash from taking action, even though these stickers clearly offend and harm Jewish customers who may walk in.
This is not just a matter of poor business practice; it is an issue of responsibility. By allowing such harmful propaganda to remain on display, Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters is tacitly endorsing and spreading divisive misinformation. In a world where unity and respect should be prioritized, businesses like Dessert Oasis are contributing to unnecessary tension and hostility.
I strongly recommend that people reconsider giving their business to a company that is so indifferent to the welfare of all customers. If you stand against the spread of hate, division, and misinformation, do not support Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters. Their actions and failure to take responsibility for the content they allow in their stores speak volumes about...
Read moreWell, let me start off by saying I used to love this little "oasis" tucked into my beloved hometown. I'd come and get some great coffee, lattes and some great pastries to go along with it. Lately however, I've been getting nauseated by the smell of e-cig and vape fumes that's permeating through the ventilation system. It's really off-putting when you're trying to enjoy your coffee and pastry, but the smell is ruining it for you. I can only imagine this is from an employee or someone in the back, because clearly there is no one out in the common areas vaping, but it has happened the last three times I've stopped in. It's a shame that I may have to choose another place to go simply because of this. Please, if anyone reads these reviews, be aware that just because it's not cigarette smoke, most people can still detect the chemical smell to these products and find it offensive. In my case, it's offensive enough that it's ruined one of my favorite places to hang out and spend money at. Please, Desert Oasis, do better and have your employees step outside if they choose to vape. It's something that should be done anyway, considering city ordinances prohibit smoking or vaping in...
Read moreI've moved to the area about 2 years ago. I work from home and time to time I like to go to a coffee shop to do some work.
I've tried many different coffee shops near by, such as Royal Oak Roast Dessert Oasis in Royal Oak Dessert Oasis in Ferndale Atomic Coffee Drifter's Coffee Red Hook in Ferndale
I can say with 100% confidence that Dessert Oasis in Ferndale is by far the best coffee for me. Here is why,
Super friendly staff. They say hi to you, and bring coffee to you when you sit down. Also, I feel like people who work here knows coffee. You get an actually coffee mug when you order coffee to enjoy inside (some establishments still give you paper/plastic to go even though you are enjoying coffee inside) Dedicated parking with one EV charging spot (level 2). Huge space. Modern interior. Clean. Quiet (at least in the morning). 2 bathrooms. Fast WIFI High quality coffee / espresso drinks. You can bring your dog in when you order coffee (I don't think you can sit inside).
Some cons No outdoor - but not a big deal for me If you are here for food, I think Royal oak Roast has way more food options...
