Well, didn't think I'd ever have to write a bad review for Bob Evans but here we are. Covid is happening, I understand that, so I'm cutting them some slack and giving two stars instead of one. That, and the fact that I've never had issues with dining in pre-covid. This time, however, there were some pretty significant problems.
I went to pick up my food in the curbside pickup area, waited about 10 minutes after the time I was told it would be ready and then called in. They told me my soup wouldn't be ready for another ten minutes, I said that would be too long and just to make chicken noodle, which was faster.
Fast forward another 10 minutes and I get sick of waiting and walk up to the door, ready to walk in and talk to them about it. Right as I get there, an employee opens the door and gives me my food, I walk back to my car and bring it to my brother's, because I let him and our mother order with us.
I get to his house and neither his nor her food is in the bag. That's two entire meals and sides missing, keep in mind that I was still charged for them.
I once again drive to Bob Evans and I go in and tell them. The meals were there, they just somehow didn't realize they should've put them in the bag with my order.
After driving back to my brother's, it was finally time to go home with my now cold food. Turns out they gave me the soup I originally ordered, just without the bacon, scallions or spices that it was supposed to have.
Besides the soup, the order for my family was fine. For some reason they gave us like 5 spoons and 10 sets of utensils for a 4 person meal.
I really don't know what was wrong today, as I said before I generally never have issues with this place.
Step up guys, I've always gotten...
Read moreCome here often because it’s close to our house. Today had first bad experience. Hostess Lexi has a serious attitude problem. She made eye contact with us but didn’t come to seat us. I told her two plus a high chair for the baby. She sat us at a booth and gave me a booster chair. I stayed “he needs a high chair”. She said “no, high chairs can’t sit in a booth”. So I said “ok so then we can’t sit at a booth because HE NEEDS A HIGHCHAIR”. She sighed loudly, rolled her eyes, and stomped off without a word. She walked by us with a high chair and grabbed our menus (again without a word) so we followed her. She pulled out a chair and whipped it against the empty table behind it and then plunked down the highchair and stomped off without a word. The tables around us both commented that “don’t worry- she gave us an attitude also but the waitress in this section is really nice”. The table behind her when she was doing this was staring wide eyed at her. She’s a total mess and shouldn’t be working with people. But like I said- first bad experience and my first time with her. Hopefully last...
Read moreHorrible. - We arrived at 8:30 pm and were seated by a young lady who AFTER we had ordered drinks, announced she was 16 and had to leave by 9:02 so we did too. By then it was 20 til 9. We saw another table being served and asked her if we could pay her and stay and finish eating after 9:02. She said no, that her being underage was bound by a certain number of hours and she had to clean up our table before leaving. We asked about seeing her manager. She replied the entire staff was under age!! Sooo, having little choice by then, we said ok, make our order take-out. We left, went back to our hotel, which was certainly not the relaxing restaurant break we needed, and found the food to be poorly packaged and terrible. Biscuits hard as a rock. Noodles too, overall old and / or poorly prepared. We are great fans of Bob Evans, have traveled alot and been to many, and have never been disappointed until now. Corporate needs to know about this outlet because if one had never been to a normal, that is to say good, Bob Evans, they would never return to one... and if I could give No...
