Oh, where to begin with this review?!?!?
Most importantly, any positive review posted on here is a flat out lie. Said reviews are most certainly from friends, family, or fabricated comments from the owner(s).
Ok! With that out of the way, let's start with this "so-called" boil. What is served here is NOT what a seafood boil traditionally should be. Our "boil" included a whopping one ear of corn on the cob cut in half and a single small potato quartered. The shrimp was pleasantly chewy and overcooked, the snow crab legs were certainly not freshly cooked. This shouldn't be a suprise because our "boil" arrived 5 minutes after ordering.
A REAL BOIL SHOULD BE LOADED WITH ANDOUILLE SAUSAGE, MORE THAN ONE COB CUT IN HALF, AND MOST CERTAINLY MORE THAN ONE DANG POTATOE QUARTERED! (not shouting! just making a point! LOL)
I read reviews of others complaining about the boil being in a trash bag and the plates and cutlery being cheap. I kind of chuckled to myself because a boil is normally served without plates and minimal utensils.
Once receiving our "boil", I now realize exactly what these folks are talking about. What this "boil" is served in is honestly comical. You'll be presented with a lovely pizza pan with a boil bag on it. You literally have to eat out of the boil bag. Really?? That's the best you came up with for presenting food to your patrons??? Now, let's not forget your paper plate of the highest quality and fabulous Styrofoam cup filled with your favorite beverage.
Soooo! Speaking of beverages, I ordered a Coke Zero. One sip and I discovered my soda was flatter than a slashed tire. I brought this to the attention of our server, which conveniently, was also the owner. Instead of just admitting that the soda was flat and correcting it, he proceeded to insinuate that I didn't know that Coke Zero tastes differently than regular Coke. Once he figured out that I; in fact; knew that Zero tastes different, he proceeded to blame his vendor for the Zero being syrup with no carbonation. Finally he admitted that I was at least the fourth person to complain about the Zero being flat and he should have his vendor correct the problem. 🙄 On a positive note, the regular Coke is wonderfully carbonated!!!
Moving on to price. Now, I'm very aware of what a typical boil costs. This establishment should be embarrassed for charging $50 for a "boil" consisting of a very light pound of shrimp, snow crab legs, one corn on the cob, and ONE freaking potato. Compare this to a REAL boil restaurant such as Storming Crab. FOR THE SAME EXACT PRICE ($49.99), ON TOP OF SNOW CRAB AND SHRIMP, YOU ALSO RECEIVE (Dinner Combo) CRAWFISH (1LB) SAUSAGE (1LB) LOADS OF POTATOES AND CORN. Heck you can even go to Red Lobster and get more food in the Ultimate Feast dinner alone for $32.99.
Let's finish up talking about filthy bathrooms! Now the dining area was reasonably clean and presented well. The bathrooms, however, wooh-wee!!! For a restaurant that was essentially empty, completely unacceptable. The men's room welcomes you with a wiff of rank urine! This is most certainly because the plastic urinal cake cage is coated in a crystallized crust of old urine. My girlfriend informed me that the woman's room was just as unsanitary. The bowl had a mildew ring at the water line and brown stains on the seat. Needless to say that restroom trip was a "wash your hands only" occasion.
In conclusion, this is a classic case of do not waste your time or money coming here. It's really...

Li’s Seafood Boil is a new addition to the local dining scene, offering a mix of seafood boils, sushi, and hibachi. The restaurant has a visually appealing atmosphere, and the hype surrounding it made us eager to give it a try. However, while the presentation and ambiance were impressive, the food itself fell short of expectations, especially considering the price point.
Appetizers • Mozzarella Sticks (5/10): These tasted like they were freshly frozen rather than made in-house. While they were passable, they didn’t stand out in any way. • Dragon Roll Sushi (4.1/10): The roll itself was decent, but the rice lacked freshness, which significantly impacted the overall flavor and texture. As frequent sushi lovers, we often visit well-known sushi spots like Asian Grill and Japan West in Findlay, and this did not compare. My wife even commented that she would have preferred grocery store sushi from Kroger.
Entrées • Seafood Boil (6/10): The seafood boil included crawfish, shrimp, crab legs, and a lobster tail. • Lobster Tail: Cooked well, not rubbery, and seasoned properly. • Shrimp: Well-cooked and flavorful. • Crab Legs: Hit or miss—some had very little meat, which was disappointing. • Crawfish: Not a personal favorite; my experience with them was underwhelming. • Overall, while some elements of the boil were enjoyable, the inconsistencies and lack of substantial crab meat made it an underwhelming experience. • Hibachi (4/10): My wife ordered the hibachi and found it to be underwhelming, stating that we would have been better off dining at Tokyo, another local hibachi restaurant. The flavors and preparation did not meet our expectations for the price.
Value for Money
At $149 for the meal, we struggled to find the value. For comparison, we have dined at Mancy’s Steakhouse—a well-known fine dining restaurant in Findlay—for $120, and the experience there felt far more worth the price. Given the cost, we expected higher quality and more consistency in the dishes.
Final Thoughts
While we were excited to try Li’s Seafood Boil, the experience did not live up to our expectations. The food was average at best, and the pricing felt excessive for what we received. As a new restaurant, they may need to reconsider their pricing strategy and focus on consistency in food quality. Unfortunately, based on this visit, we do not see...
Read moreWe didn’t know what to expect when choosing to try this restaurant for the first time. Neither of us had ever experienced a “seafood boil” before, but we definitely love seafood and were very excited to give this place a try. After reviewing the menu we both decided we wanted to have the “full on” experience of this type of dining, so we each opted for the most diverse (and expensive) choices on the menu.
To keep this review from reading as long as a novel... the service was just mediocre, nothing impressive at all. Our drinks did remain filled, but that was the extent of the service.
The meal was awful. I know fresh seafood. We used to fish in the Gulf of Mexico. I don’t expect “filleted on the beach” freshness from Lima Ohio seafood, but this was awful. I’m not even convinced the corn on the cob wasn’t frozen. All of the seafood had been frozen, and judging from its flavor and texture it was likely frozen, thawed, and frozen again.
We ate our meal and did our best to appreciate the new experience.
To sum up: The two of us spent about $165.00 on some extremely not fresh seafood, mediocre service, and disgustingly filthy hands. We will not return and for the first time ever I am going to suggest that anyone reading this review just do not bother wasting your money. It may be tempting to try the new experience, but...
