I LOVE THEIR STEAK TIPS! RARE IS MY PREFERENCE... I ONLY GET MUSHROOMS ON THE STEAK TIPS EVEN THOUGH I LIKE PEPPERS & ONIONS TOO... I JUST FOUND THAT IT TASTES THE BEST WITH ONLY THE MUSHROOMS TO GIVE IT THAT SPECIAL FLAVOR. (THE COOK JUST NEEDS TO REMEMBER TO COOK THE MUSHROOMS BECAUSE IF THEY ARE SAUTED' AND THEY ARE JUST THROWN IN TO THE PAN... AND MIXED AROUND A TINY BIT... THEN THEY MAY AS WELL THROW RAW MUSHROOMS ON TOP OF THE STEAK BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT TASTES LIKE.... WHEN THE MUSHROOMS ARE SAUTED' CORRECTED THE FLAVOR IS AMAZING!!! THEY ALSO HAVE TO REMEMBER TO ALWAYS SLOW COOK THE STEAK WHEN MAKING IT RARE. DO NOT COOK IT ON HIGH OR IT COOKS THE OUTSIDE TOO QUICKLY AND THE INSIDE IS RAW.... BUT, THE COOK USUALLY DOES A REALLY GOOD JOB!!! UNFORTUNATELY, THE 99 IN NASHUA... THERE COOK IS NEW AND STILL DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO COOK RARE STEAK.SO, I HAVE TO GO TO FITCHBURG MA. THE LAST TIME I WENT THERE.... UNFORTUNATELY, THE GIRL WAITRESS WAS NOT GOOD AND SHE COMPLETELY IGNORED US AND PAID ATTENTION TO THE TABLE BESIDE US... AND KEPT FLIRTING WITH THE TWO GUYS. WE COULD NEVER GET HER ATTENTION AND SHE WOULD GET AGGRAVATED IF WE INTERRUPTED HER WHILE SHE "CONSTANTLY" WAS FLIRTING WITH THE TWO GUYS THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE. THAT WOULD BE FINE IF SHE STILL WAS DOING HER JOB AND WASN'T GIVING US AN ATTITUDE. Read moreWe were visiting from out of town for a wake and had a group of approximately 15 people. We called an hour before our arrival and told it was not a problem. When we arrived, we were told it would only be a few minutes as the last table was paying their bill. After 45 minutes of sitting in the chilly waiting area, we still weren't sat. The manager (blonde, female, 40s?) came out and just looked as if she didn't care. She explained that they don't "deal with groups of our size" If that was the case, then why couldn't that have been communicated when we called? Even if we had been told that the staff could try but couldn't gaurantee, at least we would have gone in with proper expectations. The manager offered to give us four high tops, but at that point, our group was tired and frustrated (it was after 8p and we had travelled over an hour to get to the wake). And to be completely honest, she looked as if she didn't even want us to take that option. She said that even though the table that we were waiting for had paid their check, she couldn't kick them out. I certainly understand that, but I've been to places where our check is paid and we are chit chatting and the staff politely comes up to explain they have a party waiting on the table and we can continue the conversation at the bar. I've never been offended by that, so I'm sure whoever was at the table would have felt the same if they were provided an explanation. I usually have good experiences at the 99, but this time, unfortunately, I did not. Our group did end up leaving so that the staff didn't have to "deal with" a group...
Read moreMy family and I went here for dinner, it started off well and the food was good spent about $100. Our server was Marissa, she was the issue, she started to have an attitude after my wife had asked for an extra Togo cup for our son that Marissa kept calling a girl first off and then as soon as I showed her my app for the rewards she snatched the bill off the table and crumpled it up and said with attitude that she will get another copy updating the new total. After the rage reaction from marissa my family and I got up from the table and went to the front desk and complained about her reaction, no other worker really had much to say besides “sorry”. When I confronted marissa about her attitude her response was “I didn’t think I had an attitude” with attitude in her voice and she just walked away. This is not the kind of way paying customers should be treated when they show their reward app or ask for a few things that are needed, you are a server, if you don’t like your job then get a different one.
