Burger King — Restaurant in Fitchburg

Not worth 1 star., arrived at John fitch. Hwy, fitchburg. Is this where I say I always go there for their overpriced chicken sandwich? this evening around 7 pm. Started at drive thru. After 15 mins, I parked and tried to enter building... doors were locked, lights were then shut off after I rattled the door. Bunch of employees inside building, ignored me. I get it , I'm ugly. As I was driving away, looking at the "we close at 8pm sign, I decided to call and ask for the manager. The gentleman who came on the phone told me an employee had quit, and the broiler was broken. How fortuitous for them. He then hung up. I didn't need the broiler, just was looking for chicken... is this considered customer service? Ok, the choice was made to close, but nobody in the building can communicate that to people waiting outside? Seems wrong to me. Guess a re-evaluation is...

Stopped by yesterday around 5:10 PM and joined the line with 3 cars ahead in my line and 3 in the outside lane. Five cars were in thepay and pickup line, so I knew there would be a wait. To my surprise I waited 10 minutes with no movement and then the cars in the pay and pickup all backed out and left or parked and went inside to pick up. Another 10 minutes and I changed an order only to have to repeat it (2 Whopper Jrs. and a small fry) several times. Ten minutes later, I paid, but not before being asked to repeat what I had ordered as the chefs were all mixed up on orders. Having paid, I waited for "the chefs" to cook my order with the line behind me growing again. Chefs must have run out of onions as mine had none!! Service has always been slow here, but 35 minutes...

The people that work there are always great. The food is always good. Why one star? The ownership of this franchise should sell to someone who cares. They are always short staffed and today all the employees were literally running. After 12 minutes waiting to order, still not able to order, gave up (since my lunch break was almost over.) So now, lost 1/2 hour pay to get nothing to eat. Not happy. If they staffed more (or got behind the counter themselves), they would make more than enough to cover the additional payroll. Just shows that sometimes the stupidest people in the world, can...
