China Wonder — Restaurant in Fitchburg

The food always used to be very consistent over the years, but I've been having very mixer experiences in recent months. This seems odd, since it's a family business with the same staff. Not sure what's going on. Got a couple dinner specials and an order of pork egg Foo young tonight. Those who had the specials we're happy, but the egg Foo young was the worst I've ever had. The patties had no form at all, they were just a mess of ingredients smothered with the gravy/sauce. As I ate it, I realized I was having trouble finding any sign of the actual egg! Usually, there egg Foo young is full of fluffy egg binding the ingredients in an awesome patty of goodness!

Did the chef have a bad day? Did they run out of eggs and just whip together what ingredients they had, hoping the customer wouldn't notice?

I still give them 3 stars for overall performance over time, but I was so disappointed with that inexplicable mess of a dish tonight I'm going to be hesitant ordering here again for anything other than a basic rice and appetizer...

This was a go to place back in the day, when it was up the street. There was no fresher or better Chinese food around when it was run by the older folks, it was their passion and they were hard workers that worked there tirelessly. Fast forward to today, and it’s run by their daughter in law I believe, who is extremely rude, and snaps the money out of your hand and tosses the food onto the counter. She also overcharges and rounds up the total- by a lot, and I know others have the same story, and besides that which is horrible and shady, the food is now terrible, and downright disgusting. It was so bad a couple years ago when I went, nostalgia foolishly I guess made me return last night to give it another chance in hopes that it changed, and it was even worse. The Lobster sauce has like gel caplets in the food that didn’t dissolve, I don’t even know what it was! And the rice is about as fresh as a garbage day. I’ve been to too many Chinese places to count from here to timbuktu, this is THE worst Chinese food...

When I tell you this is THE WORST Chinese place I have ever eaten from I am not exaggerating. I have no idea how they have such a high rating.. It's baffling honestly. I ordered my food and they make you put a tip on the phone if you use a card making you feel obligated to tip (unprofessional) but there were NO utensils, hot mustard or even SOY SAUCE (a Chinese restaurant with no soy sauce? Never knew you had to ask for the bare minimal.) The food was horrible. We got the most common things to play it safe. I do not know how one messes up chicken fingers, wings, spareribs, crab Rangoons, and (yellow) pork fried rice. Close your eyes and think of the worst possible way that all could be made. Boom.. China Wonder. GROSS GROSS GROSS! I am so upset I spent $30 here but I will feel bad if others fall victim to this terrible food place. PLEASE DO NOT EAT - I really hope I don't get sick from eating just the few...
