We order from Expresso's all the time the pizza and subs are absolutely amazing. Unfortunately that is not what my review is about. A couple times that we ordered from them there has been a mistake (it happens no big deal) and we have had to call and each time we spoke with a manger who is so rude and mean it's unbelievable , but the food is so good we keep going back like abused animals for food. Today we put in our order waited 1 1/2 hours for the delivery no problem they were probably busy right? So my fiances bank alerts him of a new charge from Expresso's 2nd charge same exact amount for the same order. I called down there to let them know and the man on the phone said the manager was out on a delivery but when he got back they would take care of it. We didn't hear anything so my fiance went down there and let me tell you when I say rude they were so RUDE! The manger comes over my fiance explains what happened the manager says "oh yes we refunded the order to your card" my fiance says well I didn't get a notification so can I have the receipt of the refund? (This by the way is completely normal to ask for especially if you have had refund problems in the past. You should always have a receipt for anything) the manager then mumbles under his breath, rolls his eyes and huffs his way to where the receipt is , grabs it and comes back to toss it at my fiance!! Can you believe this?? Probably not but I can because I've literally been yelled at by this man over a calzone that had no cheese or meat inside it with pictures to prove it. I've also had to fight with the same guy over a pizza that wasn't supposed to have sauce on it (allergies) . He is so awful if you have a problem with anything! I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and your just not supposed to act that way. The customer isn't always right but when you make a mistake own it and fix it. We didn't charge ourselves twice buddy you did! We order from you every week and this is the straw that broke the camel's back. We won't be returning. Thanks for the soggy...
Read moreI work in a large office in Fitchburg and everyone dreads having to go to Expressos if they don’t feel like getting in their cars and driving somewhere for lunch. Their pizza is hideous with the sweet sauce (I was told they use orange soda in it…). We have to order from an out of city pizza place and get it delivered when we host office pizza parties because no one likes their pizza. I figured okay I’ll get a grinder from there. First off they gave me a sub (not a grinder) with 2 thin slices of deli meat and cheese and very little lettuce. I was eating a bread sandwich. So today (3rd times a charm) I tried their Caesar salad (dressing on the side). You can’t really go wrong with a salad. Boy was I WRONG!!! Their Caesar dressing is like watery warm milk. It took them 25-30 minutes to make the salad (pizzas were going in and coming out before I got my salad), their croutons were soggy, and the 4-5 small pieces of chicken I had was flavorless. I paid $8.00 and it was a (VERY) small salad bowl in comparison to other places in which you get a large to go container with some fresh homemade bread or pita on the side. I asked if they gave bread on the side of their salads and the guy handed me a ½ of a sub sandwich bun (HUH?). The worst part of it all is that as I was sitting there for that 30 minutes I realized they don’t use gloves when making/cooking their food. The guy touched my money and then with his bare hands started making a pizza. None of the staff had gloves. I don’t care how hungry I am; I’d rather starve then go back to Expressos. I don’t know how they’re still in business. They should really consider stepping up their game to get in touch with the times and maybe they’d have a larger pool of clientele and not people who are stuck going there (not because the food is good) but because its convenient...
Read morewe had a large pepperoni delivered after my partner spent 15 minutes trying to order. they couldn't understand him because he has a (slight) speech impediment even though he repeatedly spelt it out. they got the address wrong, whatever, but the delivery guy called and he understood him fine. when the pizza got here we opened the box and the entire pizza had slid off leaving nothing but a thin crust with some thin sauce and a heap of cheese over on the side. We tried being optimistic and figured the guy was in a hurry because of the address mixup. But when we tried the pizza it tasted no good. The sauce was a bit too sweet, but at the same time it was bland, too thin and there wasn't enough of it. The crust was paper thin which didn't probably help keep the cheese from sliding all the way off the pizza... And the cheese, I don't know why, but it was kinda gaggy. It tasted powdery somehow. I don't usually like to write negative reviews but it was a real pain and we had to just throw the...
