The staff in the main library were very nice and helpful. But i was very disappointed with the childrens librarian. I could tell she was discriminating towards me while she never greeted me or nor did she offer to tell me whats new in the kids sections, but then i see the next non asian person walk in the door after me then she is delighted to greet and tell them about the new books that came in. And ive been there a handful of times with my kids. Also i tried ordering a book from them, had to do it twice because supposedly they thought i didnt want it the first time around, but i even gave them my library card the first time to reserve it...then had to wait 3 weeks to get...
   Read moreI love the Fitchburg Public Library. I’ve been using this library for 70 years, of course not always located where it is now. Back in the 50s we all loved when the bookmobile came to our neighborhood. It was a regular occurrence and one everyone looked forward to. When I became a mother I brought my daughter and her friends to the library on a regular basis and she now brings her 2 children.
