Alfano's Pizzeria & Italian in Rochelle — Restaurant in Flagg Township

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. I am beyond blown away. Alfano's catered our wedding this past weekend and the experience from start to finish was unreal. The owner dealt with me directly from the start and he was a blessing. He gave me advice on the proper amounts to order based on my party size, I want to point this out because he TALKED ME DOWN!!! I said 6 pans, he said no, that may be too much and you'll waste your money, and if I'm wrong, you call me and I'll bring you whatever you need. The prices are beyond reasonable, I feel like I robbed them lol. On top of that, their amazing delivery man came the day before our big day to discuss setup and make sure we had a clear execution plan to make the day as smooth as possible. He delivered on time, set up quickly and was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and thorough. If all that wasn't enough, the food was absolutely incredible. The BEST alfredo I've ever had, and the meatballs.....oh my gosh the meatballs!!! EVERY SINGLE GUEST made a point to rave about the food as they said their goodbyes. Beyond pleased, I was damn near in tears. They have my business until the end of time, because God knows my relatives will kill me if we have a party and I don't get them...

Deep fried appetizer assortment (mushrooms, cauliflower, cheese sticks, etc.) was good, but clearly from a mass-producer. Not made in house. Beer nuggets (fried pizza dough) were also good but how many of those can you eat before "boring" takes over? The marinara sauce was good - I had been told their marinara sauces were too sweet, but seemed good to me. My friend and I got the stuffed crust Hawaiian. The crust was GREAT. The pizza was great if you like that sort of thing. I would like to go back and get the veggie version. Husband did not like his chicken Caesar salad. Said Rosati's is MUCH better. I wish he had gotten something more interesting off the menu, but whatever. Moscow mules were great - they had Tito's but no other mixers other than regular sodas. So, obviously no bar. VERY limited beer and wine selection. Might get take-out pizza next time, probably not the right dine-in place for us. One more thing: Lighting. Terrible! You know those bright lights in dressing rooms that make you look fat and slightly...

Absolutely delicious food! I'm from out of State and here in Rochelle Illinois for work. This is my 3rd week here and they are my favorite! But tonight they went above and beyond!!! They were very busy and I placed an order and then 10mim later decided to add a cannoli to satisfy my sweet tooth. I didn't get the cannoli in my Togo order BUT they went above and beyond to make it right and delivered right to my hotel room instantly!!! Not only was that amazing but the cannoli is absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Thank you to such a sweet and kind hearted business, you guys are the BEST and my FAVORITE place to eat in...
