So I was charged my membership fee of $60 on my BJs card. Not getting any email or text or anything that it was going to be taken for that card. This being said I did not authorize this to be done. 2nd I did authorize it to be taken from my bank account. Made a phone call to the store. Took around 15 min of listening to the phone ring before anyone picked up. Finally a gentleman picked up and said she you sign up for BJs credit card it automatically defaults to taking the payment out of said credit card. Then says he can refund the payment and charge my bank. At this point the guy was just being a jerk about the hole situation that I explained to him I did not Authorize for this to be done in the manner that it happened. From my experience of this happening and yeah another place did this to me before I just highered a lawyer and found out they can not do this without consent. So BJs what are you going to do about this issue? Also found out that Bjs isn’t doing as well as they thought they would and raised everyone membership fee. So again BJs what are you going to do about this problem? I don’t think it’s right that you up charge the membership fee because you are failing to meet expectations. Read moreSoon as we walked in it began. The greeter was on her cellphone. We had to get our card because we signed up online. No one was at the service desk. So i asked the greeter to get someone. She rudely said to me “they coming “. 5 minutes later the girl came to the desk. She was literally standing nearby talking with another employee. I’m sure she saw us waiting. The girl was rude as well. No hello no smile nothing. I don’t even think she spoke a word to me. The shopping experience itself was ok. Except the robot kept getting in the way. When we went to check out we had two carts. I went to self check out. I didn’t see the small sign that said 20 items or less. The employee at self check out was very rude as well. He asked me if I could read. I said yes but I couldn’t see the small sign until I got up to the register that said 20 items or less. He then responded “ I don’t know what to tell you”. So I went to the check out. Finally checked out. The girl at the exit counted every item we had. And so ok you’re free to go. But I guess she can’t count because we had two different orders that was in one cart. And the receipt I showed her was for only one order. Read moreThe prices aren’t so good to justify a membership fee but it is a small fee compared to other stores. the self checkout is a nightmare! I totally understand the concept of scanning an item and then putting it into the bagging area I do not need a computer to tell me to do that after scanning each item!!! It is so annoying that I will literally go to any other store just to not hear that ever again! And then if you buy too many items it will stop and you have to empty the bagging area before you can scan any more items. Also, my wife and I each got a card on the same membership and they don’t sync in the system, my wife had put coupons on our membership but it only applied to her card so when I scanned my card none of the coupons applied so after scanning $400 worth of products we found out that in order to use the coupons we would have to scan my wife’s card and start all over!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!! This place could be a 3 1/2 star store, 5 star if the prices were better!! But as it is I would rather drive the extra 20 minutes to Daytona and go to Sam’s or Costco. I will probably give it 1 more try before I decide whether or not to renew my membership but I will wait a few months to give them a chance to make this...
