I had the worst experience ever! We ordered takeout for 7 people. They told us it would be ready in about 20 -25 minutes . We arrived about 30+ minutes later and was told it would be about another 15 minutes or so. I asked why, and was told there was a door dash mix up. I said fine assuming they were still making our food. We were waiting outside on the bench when a car pulled up and was bringing bags of food back into the restaurant. She said that she received the wrong order. I asked her if it was a door dash and she confirmed it was. I followed her in and the woman, who I later found out was the manager, tried to give us the order that had left the restaurant earlier as an incorrect order via door dash. I asked her why they were not remaking my order. She said “it’s fine, check. It’s going to be a while if you want it remade.” I told her the food was cold, plus left their establishment and was brought back, that they legally couldn’t sell it. (I guess they don’t do serve safe training). I NEVER was apologized to and got a who cares shoulder shrug from the manager. The manager also tried to tell me the hostess was new, making excuses. The hostess was actually great and it WAS NOT her fault. The management should NEVER EVER let food leave their restaurant in another person’s hands and then be returned back to restaurant and expect a customer to be okay with that and purchase the to go order. I was so frustrated and disappointed in the lack of customer service and disrespectful treatment from a manager at Cinco de Mayo in Palm Coast. I, as well as many of my friends, family, and colleagues will never ever patronize this restaurant again and I will also be filing a complaint with the health department and BBB. I have never ever seen anything like this. Just Unbelievable! BEWARE OF ORDERING FROM CINCO de MAYO PALM COAST! I wouldn’t give any stars if it...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped eating at Mexican restaurants for 2 reasons: 1) Either food was good but service was horrible. 2) Service and food were horrible. After hearing about a new Mexican restaurant that had opened here in Palm Coast, we decided to give it a shot. Outside and inside were clean upon arriving. We were immediately greeted and sat. My husband and I were a little hopeful as we ordered our drinks. It did take a bit to receive our drink order but understood we just walked in after the lunch shift. Now it's time to order: I ordered bean nachos (made of refried beans, Queso white cheese, and Tortilla chips) with a side of sour cream right now. My husband ordered the Nachos Supreme. After our server (not naming names) visited the table twice before our meals came out, did not bring the sour cream. No big deal until our food arrived. My dish came out as nachos with beef and bean. So I politely sent it back. My husband starts to eat slowly, as he wanted to eat with me. My dish came out again, nachos and beef along with my side of sour cream. Now I'm frustrated. Not only is this the 3rd time to correct my meal, my husband's nachos Supreme had 5⅓ full chips. (Should have taken a picture) We simply asked for a Togo box with a side of chips along with speaking to a manager. I will say that George (Manager at the time) was Sincere in his apology for the frustration and helped with the bill. My husband and I are great tippers and only a hand full of times have we never left a tip. When we don't, we write on the back of all the reasons why we didn't. We felt bad walking out the door because many people go to eat Mexican food due to the cheap price and almost always leave a low tip. After this experience we are back to zero good places to eat for...
Read moreWhat a disappointment from newly opened Mexican Restaurant. The wife and I was feeling Mexican and needed a Margarita to close out the day. We love sitting at the bar and when we arrived there was 3 open seats. We grabbed two and looked around taking in the decor. For being brand new it was very bland. Nothing cool or special, the back bar area was already filled with personal belonging from he staff. Random drink cups, boxes, empty liquor bottles and a purse or two. The bar it self is pretty narrow and need to be cleaned. The Bar tender was busy, but walked pasted us a few times before greeting us and taking a drink and app order. She was nice a friendly, but seemed a little scattered with getting tasked completed. Once our dinner came out we asked for extra shredded cheese twice before she remembered to get it. The food was good over all, I mean come on it actually hard to mess up Mexican. I might give it a few more months before I return to see if they can get a few things figured out. But I not holding my breath, I recognized most of the staff and its from the old Mexican place down the road that recently closed because of a bunch of reasons. We stopped going to that place too because they took all there good staff to the Daytona...
