Stopped here on the way home from picking up the kids in Page. It was convenient to pull in and out, and we knew they had deals on Tuesday. Those are about the only positives.
Ordered the cheap crunchy and soft tacos for my son and myself; a quesadilla and chicken roller thing for my daughter; smothered tamales for my husband and two drinks (we got Sprite).
We all headed for the restrooms first. My daughter and I couldn't get in at first because of the (how should I put this nicely) strung out lady charging her phone and texting, blocking the door in, oblivious to anyone around her.
Next comes the food. The woman taking our order was phenomenal, and the only reason I didn't give 1 star. She was friendly and helpful and gave recommendations to remove the sauce when I ordered an item that had spicy sauce, and she knew it was for one of the kids. I absolutely appreciated that!
Unfortunately, the good stops there. The tacos all had gobs of lettuce (more lettuce than any other ingredient), over half of which was old, dark, and slimy. I picked it off, but then didn't trust any of it and didn't eat mine and asked my son to stop eating his.
My daughter's chicken roller had some very questionable large hunks of chicken that I pulled out. Then I had my husband taste test the others, and he gave a resounding "nope!". My husband ate half of his tamales and called it quits after everything else was coming up questionable.
We ordered two drinks, and the kids picked Sprite. Even those weren't drinkable! It literally tasted like cleaner! I thought it had a hint of a moldy taste.
The only thing that we felt safe allowing anyone to eat was the quesadilla because it was just tortilla and cheese.
I asked the lady at the counter to refund the drinks and chicken roller. In reality, I should have had her refund it all minus the quesadilla.
Luckily, we don't live near that location. But I DO NOT recommend it for locals OR travelers!
Stay far away. There are plenty of other trustworthy restaurants to choose from.
This was literally our first time eating at Del Taco, and it may...
Read moreI only go here for literally fast substance and I get what I pay for (most times). Maybe it was a long day and everything's closed and all I have in the cupboard is stuff no one wants to make a meal out of, or I've been running errands with the kids and they're fussy and need a snack. Were a GF family and I'm vegan. There are just two items we get here, french fries and beyond guacamole tacos. The French fries I order I request for no salt because when I don't, the fries are soggy and not fresh. The only tacos that are GF is the beyond and grilled crunchy chicken. The kids do not like whatever the chicken is or has in it and the beyond guacamole is vegan (if it's made right, they sometimes put cheese on it which is not how they're supposed to be made). It's fast food, and therefore not healthy, and will likely give you a stomach ache. The service is consistently the same, either the presumably stoner kinda light service that messes up the order or the impatient employee who doesn't have time for questions or you, but seems to be okay to restocking, talking to teammates, and looks over at you at the service desk but doesn't make an effort to help you. Drive thru is my preferred method because at least their somewhat required to...
Read moreUpdated review, Aug 23: I've just stopped coming. Every time I come they ask me to keep pulling forward until it stops the drive thru clock. Problem is I have a neck and back injury that prevents me from turning back to get my credit card back or my food. So they ask me to pull around so someone can run it out to me when my food is ready. I'm sorry y'all, when I'm the only one in the drive thru and you're trying to game the clock by putting hardship on the customer, then you've gone too far.
Management: give them a chance to make the food with the time they have
Those working: don't get pissed at me when I say I can't turn around that far so I won't be pulling forward. And then don't get more pissed when I say I won't be pulling around and waiting there without my credit card when it's a simple burrito that shouldn't take that long to get wrapped up.
OLD REVIEW: Standard del taco. Sometimes it's hard to communicate through the drive-through speaker, and it's there can be a delay when waiting on the employee to be ready to take your order. It's happened more than once, which is the only reason why I comment on it. The food comes as expected and the service is overall...
