Update: Enjoy your meal, if it isn't right Red Lobster will sent you a gift card in the mail. So you don't really have anything to lose. I felt like it all worked out anyways. Review: Not able to celebrate Mothers Day until last Saturday, we decided a Red Lobster meal would be a good gift. 4 people, 4 entrees, 2 drinks and 2 desert with one add on came to $180. before tip... I thought that was a little steep but I would be ok with it and not be writing this review if the food was worth it. The corn was ice cold and the king crab was horrible. Everything else was passible. The corn and king crab was my dinner and I didn't want to be a wet blanket and complain to the restaurant during our celebratory dinner. Service was good I should mention. We have came here for the king crab dozens of times, though it has been awhile since our last visit. So, the king crab was an acceptable portion, then I notice it was mostly nuckles and small leg pieces, no "king" pieces for sure. Worse, it was quite stale and previously frozen tasting. You know, Where the meat is all small and watery in the shells and even the shells are kinda soft and stale/waterlogged. Out of about 15 pieces there were like three tasty pieces and the rest worse than walmart frozen crab. It was as if a couple fresh pieces were tossed in with all old crab. My wife's snow crab was much better but not quite restaurant quality. Kids liked their meals of variety platters and etc. Stay away from the crab I guess. Rather...
Read moreMy family and I went in to celebrate the graduation of a family member from NAU. There were 8 of us at this table. We were sat in area all by ourselves. There were 3 or 4 other tables sat in this entire restaurant. One table near us but not in the same section complained about the volume coming from our table. The manager of this establishment felt it necessary to come over to us and tell us to be quiet because other guests were complaining. I’d like to make it clear that 1. We were there in celebration of a graduate. Who was in cap and gown. 2. We were a table of 7 black people and 1 white person. 3. Graduation at a very large college had just concluded and we were the only ones who chose to come to this place while the Olive Garden in the same parking lot was packed. We held conversations amongst ourselves and laughed until this manager decided to come and quiet us. She then proceeded to have the audacity to tell us to just be ourselves, which is exactly what we were doing. It was targeted and wrong, by the manager and the table complaining. I don’t visit Red Lobster often because they’re outdated and dingy but this experience put the icing on the cake. Treat people with human decency and kindness…we’re a party of 8 of course we’re louder than the table of 4.
Food was mediocre, bathrooms were old and gross. Staff was pleasant enough, I feel bad they have to work under someone who...
Read moreWe walked into the restaurant on 9/19 for lunch. We were greeted by a host who didn't really greet us. He just got the menus and said follow me. We followed him to the back of the restaurant where he stood and was looking for a table. They weren't busy so I asked for a booth I saw. He simply said 'No' and he led us to a booth we'd already passed. Whatever. The famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits tasted like they were leftovers from 4 nights ago and served to us. We ordered the fish and chips and the shrimp scampi. It took a while to get our order. In fact, a couple who'd come in after us was served before we were. The fish was old, very fishy tasting and the batter was cooked so hard on one side it couldn't be eaten. The scampi shrimp were overcooked and shy on flavor. The waitress only came to check on us when she delivered the bill. Never got a chance to ask for malt vinegar or anything else. We didn't say anything because we just wanted to leave. While looking the restaurant over, we realized that the wall next to our booth was filthy with splashing of food and drink. I'm not in Flagstaff often, and we were looking forward to the lunch experience however, it was a huge disappointment and waste of money. Save your hard earned cash and go to another restaurant. We definitely won't...
