Tacos Los Altos — Restaurant in Flagstaff

I wanted to buy a breakfast burrito for $5.99. Because I don't eat red meat, I wanted to substitute the beef or pork for beans. Beef and pork are way more expensive than beans. I was giving them a break. Instead, the price of the $5.99 burrito ended up being over $8.00. I questioned this and they told me no substitutions were possible. I asked to speak to the owner who was in the back room and received a message that he needed to speak to his accountant and was unavailable. I told him he could then read my comments on line. Therefore, my comments to the owner are below: It seems very unreasonable to be unable to substitute high ticket items like beef or pork for a cheap and healthy item like beans. There are plenty of other great options for Mexican food in Flagstaff. I hope that the management reads this review and allows people to switch from expensive meat to cheap beans in future. Perhaps I will go back at that time and support the restaurant. In the meantime, because I felt maximized yesterday, I walked out and got wonderful food elsewhere, at a reasonable price, where I didn't feel...

I'm from Yuma and we have Mr. G's, which is the best Mexican food EVER. When I first moved to Flagstaff I was in search for a comparable Mexican place and I finally found this place. Great burritos, tacos, carnitas plate. I also recently tried the shrimp cocktail and it's one of the best I've had. I do wish the shrimp was larger and fresher, but perhaps I caught them on their last day. I also want to say that their horchata is amazing! So clearly made from scratch because it doesn't have the fake cinnamon/vanilla taste. This is so refreshing as many Mexican food places either don't offer horchata or offer a fake from concentrate version shipped in from some Phoenix factory. 6x Rolled Tacos gets a 1 star... tiny, no meat, guac doesn't stick to tortilla... no joke, slips off like a bead of water on a ceramic frying pan.

Chicken Quesadilla gets a 3 star... full of meat and not greasy.

Bfast Burrito gets a 2 star... bland bland bland. No ingredient stood out. It's like everything had the same flavor and texture but looks different. Soggy tortilla.

Salsa 1... chunks of tomatoes and onion. Probably Pace Picante from bottle.

Salsa 2... the "spicy" version... ketchup with th Tabasco sauce mixed in. Terrible!!!!!!!

Iced Tea... you ever taste ice tea when it has turned? Sat in room temp container door a few days. It's goes bad. An off taste that cleans you out like Draino.
